Super User gim Posted July 19, 2024 Super User Posted July 19, 2024 Spotted cow is even better on a tap than it is out of the bottle. I drink a lot of mich golden light too though. It goes down smooth. 2 Quote

Eric 26 Posted July 20, 2024 Posted July 20, 2024 (edited) @DitchPanda I’ll second that sentiment especially when I see what the current price is. I will add I picked up a mixed 12 pack of Three Floyd’s from my local grocery store last night and so far the standout for me is the “Age of otters” IPA 😋Although I will say the standout can graphics for me at least go to the “Zombie Ice Double Pale Ale” even though I prefer the former for taste. I think part of the allure, at least for me, is that it’s only available in the great state of Wisconsin. It’s not very often that I get it. If it was available all the time where I live, I probably would have a similar sentiment. Quote

Smooth and creamy...the peanut butter of beer...😁 1 Quote
Super User TOXIC Posted July 20, 2024 Super User Posted July 20, 2024 As I have said, my brother in law is part owner of a brewery in St Augustine, Florida, Old Coast Ales. I have been immersed in the brewing process more than I ever thought I would be. We visit breweries most everywhere we go and he has described the process in detail. I am taking a selection of brews from a local brewery (Silver Branch) with me to Wisconsin. There’s sooooo many craft brewers out there doing IPA’s and every other variation that Spotted Cow being a “Farm Ale” has a different profile. Me personally, I had a couple top shelf Old Fashioneds last night and enjoyed it immensely. 1 Quote

Super User NorcalBassin Posted August 5, 2024 Super User Posted August 5, 2024 Been a mostly dry summer for me but couldn't pass up adding these to the collection this weekend. The difference between a smoky bourbon and smoky scotch is quite striking! 3 Quote

Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted August 6, 2024 Global Moderator Posted August 6, 2024 @Junger, dude! We have a small bar called union jacks that I used to go to in college that had anchor steam in bottles, it was so dam good ! I remember peeling the label off and putting it in my back pocket so I wouldn’t forget what it was (pre smart phones haha) seems like it was brewed in San Francisco? 3 Quote

Eric 26 Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 Good afternoon everybody. Although I’m not a whiskey connoisseur in fact furthest thing from it so I may be way off base asking this but is anyone planning on picking one of these up and if so is it going to be worth the price or just a goofy marketing ploy? I ask as I’m thinking of picking up a bottle as a future Christmas or special occasion gift for someone. Quote
