@Eric 26 yes, black butte porter...........  the other beer i tend to like is drake's brewing 1500 pale ale...  the label says 'pale ale' and dry hopped....  not sure what makes a pale ale a pale ale...  it tastes like a cross between the scrimshaw pilsner and an ipa.  to me at least.

anyone like sake? out in the bay area, california, there's some really good sake that is available....  one is even made in oakland --- den sake.  pretty pricey.

This is a new one for me but I won’t be picking it up again based on the hazy tropical that I felt tried too hard with the fruit juice. The brain melter was my favorite of the 3.IMG_3716.jpeg.88daafcff129f1c38c12e84cacb00fd8.jpegIMG_3718.jpeg.fc9f0494a1db959118ff9ba92f67ad7b.jpeg

Recently picked up a knob creek 12 at one of my local stores and tried it tonight for the first time, it lives up to the hype.

Also my buddy found me the new Jim Beam winter reserve today and I started off with that, its pretty impressive for the money. I'm glad I told him to snag 2 for me! Its got a little of the beam nuttiness but its mostly got a solid cinnamon, clove, nutmeg baking spice thing going on. Plus some vanilla\marshmallow on the finish. Its 6 year old beam that's finished in a toasted barrel..that's a helluva bourbon for $26.

Me too, I really missed having Tumbler when the weather got cool.

I was in my local Costco and always check their beer section and saw they had a special case from Sierra Nevada, the Fanatic Pack, it had a six pack of  Nooner, Ruthless Rye,Flipside and then I saw Tumbler was there too, I think I did a triple take when I saw that.

These were only available at Costco and some other big box stores.

I went through 3 cases of this and now it's gone.

Haven't been drinking much but I've been buying! Bottle I'm currently looking for is Wild Turkey Jimmy Russel 70th anniversary... Its 101 at 8-9 years old and it retails for about $50. Every review I've seen or read has been extremely positive. Admittedly I'm a Wild Turkey fan so I'm sure ill enjoy it, if I can find one.

Although I’ll admit I have zero idea when the “real” Oktoberfest ends I figured I better grab at least one more Oktoberfest 12 pack while I can. I’m trying a new one and 2 beers in I’m not sure what I think.IMG_3804.jpeg.5b4ddd2dc0d98a1a4a78a476dce78dd8.jpeg

It's long over - ran Sept 21 to Oct 6

And you're a bit early for 2025

"The festival of the City of Munich. In 2025, the 190th Oktoberfest will take place from September 20 to October 5 on the Theresienwiese."

Asked my wife where she wanted to go for her birthday and she picked Frankfurt, KY and Bardstown, KY.  We've been there before so we knew of places we could shop and not pay for overpriced bottles.  This was the result.  Should last us until the next trip, LOL.

Really love the Weller 12.  It's always so consistent year after year.  Always delicious.

Nice haul! Got a day planned for next weekend with a couple buddies so I picked up some bottles to sample: got a store pick Jack Daniels single barrel rye, a store pick John J Bowman single barrel and a Makers mark lost recipe. Plus my buddy Joe picked me up a Weller special reserve when he was in Kansas City that he's bringing for me. I know its the base Weller but its my first Weller product since they basically don't exist here so im excited to try it.

Nice!  That sounds like a good day (and a bad headache for me the next day).
