Eric 26 Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 Picked up a 12 pack for the football games. I’m enjoying it😃 5 Quote
GReb Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 Just poured a glass of Kentucky Spirit. Definitely not my favorite Turkey and will probably not buy it again. It’s just what I currently go for when I’m not really in a mood for a certain pour. 1 Quote
Eric 26 Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 I stopped at my local grocery store after work for some lunch meat and noticed they were selling 4 of the to follow in a photo beers “loose”, said to myself “why not” those will taste good for Sunday Night Football (GO BEARS) game. Should have known better😬 As I went to grab a 12 pack of pop that I keep for the teenage boys in the basement to transfer to the downstairs refrigerator it appears a different 12 pack had burst 🤔 prior and gave my now holding 12 pack a not so strong bottom 🤬 Well after cleaning 3 of the cans that exploded after hitting my floor, thankfully unfinished side of basement although used for storage and believe me it’s packed I said “Someone definitely wanted me to enjoy” so I did😃 3 Quote

If you like cinnamon, maple sugar with some spice it's a great value. On 9/6/2024 at 9:01 PM, Eric 26 said: Picked up a 12 pack for the football games. I’m enjoying it😃 Gotta find this now. I can get Rare Breed for $38 at Costco which at that price point it’s really hard to beat! 1 Quote
Eric 26 Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 Staying with the Oktoberfest theme for now, @BigAngus752 I’m not sure if you and the wife are into Oktoberfest but I’ve been enjoying the Paulaner Oktoberfest for the past few seasons. 2 Quote

There is some kind of big cranberry festival going next week there so maybe some of those will be mixed in too. Quote

You'll probably find some pumpkin beer as well. Grab yourself some apples while you're there, if they have any. It's that time of year. Best apple picking of the season. 1 Quote
Super User gim Posted September 26, 2024 Super User Posted September 26, 2024 Happy to report that the Spotted Cow is flowing out of the tap nicely here in America's Dairyland. No sign of the pickled pike or eggs yet though @slonezp. 1 Quote
Eric 26 Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 I’m sticking with my Oktoberfest while it’s in season. @BigAngus752 this one’s a bit better than the Shiner in my humble opinion if you have it available by you 2 Quote

I got six different Oktoberfests last weekend with a Binny's "pick six" and that's one of them. Good to hear that I got at least one good one. Had a Reservoir Brewing Oktoberfest last night. They are in Colorado. It was good, but not run-and-buy-a-six-pack good. 1 Quote

Eric 26 Posted September 28, 2024 Posted September 28, 2024 I know I’ve said it before but as far as “cheap” beers go my favorite is Hamms, but then again there’s something just different enough in my opinion that an ice cold Old Style hits the spot every now and then also. Quote
fishhugger Posted September 28, 2024 Posted September 28, 2024 it's northcoast brewing scrimshaw for me........... i got deschutes porter and scrimshaw in my fridge. i'm definitely not an ipa guy.... too strong and bitter. 1 Quote
Eric 26 Posted September 28, 2024 Posted September 28, 2024 Ooh I do love me some IPA’s. As far as the deschutes is that the black butte porter? I know I tried a deschutes variety pack at some point and the porter stood out for me. Another fair priced beer that has good flavor to me is Shiner Bock. 1 Quote

Eric 26 Posted September 29, 2024 Posted September 29, 2024 Unfortunately Yuengling is unavailable in Illinois 🙁 Fortunately for me Indiana isn’t very far from me and I have a ton of co-workers who live there who would most definitely pick it up if I’m ever in the mood for it😃 Quote
