Tonight I'm going with the "B" batch of Larceny from this year.  B523 is full of cinnamon and caramel.  Highly recommend!

Straight? Rocks? Coke? Cream soda? Sounds really good if you can actually notice the cinnamon and caramel.

I didn't pick up any hints of "coffey" grain but this one is tasty and sure goes down easy.

You actually go to Cheers? I'm from Boston and been there a number of times, I'm sure the ***** is better

Neat or one ice cube is all you need to pull flavors from this one

I had some knob creek on rocks the other night and then neat... rocks was better. Actually was able to differentiate nuances.

The cinnamon and caramel got me curious here, but I think straight shots would alert my wife, the knot creek was over my cousins crib

Huge fan of Knob Creek 12.  You should be able to find it (with a lot of searching) for $75 or so.  It's epic.  We have one bottle of Knob 12 and two bottles of a 11yr 3mos bottle of Knob Creek Select called "Thrilla N Vanilla".  We wish we had bought more than 2.  If you like the Knob I can tell you that the Larceny B523 has a similar flavor profile but it's got more ethanol "bite".  But of course it hasn't been aged as long.  Watering things down with an ice cube can really smooth some bourbons.

A bit weaker than I'd like but still not too bad for a cold brew coffee while watching some football.

My lady hates whiskey but I showed her this and she said wow that may actually be good. Btw I did a little research on your coffey grain and Coffey refers to the type of still used, the guys last name that invented it, not coffee as in the beverage.

Starting early tonight....came back from a long fishing trip to a bunch of work that was out of my control, but I have to clean it up. The amount of crap requires a hazmat.

You know I don't own a single Jack Daniels product. I watch several bourbon channels on YouTube that are always talking them up and I've seen that JD has put out a bunch of interesting bottles the past few years. Next bottle hunt I go on I may have to pick up something from them.

Look for their Single Barrel, Barrel Strength offerings, or JD10 & 12. If you're lucky, you might come across their annual special release. Their lower proof stuff is OK, but not as viscous and flavorful.

Their 2020 Special Release, Single Barrel BS Rye was special. It's impossible to find for the retail price though. They just recently started putting out a regular shelf offering for of their Single Barrel BS Rye (a little younger than the 2020 Release), and it's still fantastic. Not quite as oaky and musty as the 2020 Special Release Rye, but for ~$70, it's really good. I did a blind side by side between the two ryes with some friends, and we were split 50/50 between them. I'm not a fan of the single barrel 94 proof rye though, it's thin and tannic.

Only available in Wisconsin. If any of you get to Wisconsin, this stuff is sacred to the state like the Pack, the Badgers, and Harley Davidson. thumbnail(1).thumb.jpeg.5fceb107c5dbae143132654598349f88.jpeg

I sampled that swill at the brewery before it ever hit the market. It's not bad...if you're a girl

Lol I knew this was coming.  I've heard it before, and I'll hear it again.

It was the last 12 pack they had when I went to the liquor store in September so I had to get it.

I sent my brother a photo of it and he responded with a puking GIF. ?

Was gonna say when you went to the liquor store they must have been sold out of alcohol for men!

Just messin. I'm not much of a beer guy anymore but I will admit that when its hot as hell and Ive just mowed a summer shandy hits the spot.

That’s basically when I drink it too. Ironically it was still 85 degrees here last weekend when I bought it.
