DanielG Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 I'm interested in the construction of the hinge joint in a blackdog shellcracker. It's been around for awhile but I've never seen one. Does anyone have one and can show or tell me the mechanics of it? In this picture it looks like the front half is solidly embedded and the rear half has an recessed embedded joint. Quote
Bdnoble84 Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 Looks simple. 2 slots in the tail. 2 loop wires installed on body. Loops go into slots, then pin slid in and prbably epoxied in place. Thats just my take from afar Quote

Super User WRB Posted June 11, 2020 Super User Posted June 11, 2020 You are asking about the Wooden Shellcracker? As guessed the wooden Shellcracker uses 2 stainless steel screw eyes larger then the hook hangers and a stainless steel pin (1/16 rod) inserted through both screw eyes from the underside. Tom PS, I have a new wooden Shellcracker bluegill in the box if interested. 1 Quote
