Jermination Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 ordered a few of these yesterday and should be here by next week. Have you guys seen these? Not promoting but i think it is a really cool concept, kinda reminds me of a scatter rap and a chatterbait at the same time? What do you guys think? https://6thsensefishing.com/collections/axis-metal-2-0 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted June 13, 2020 Global Moderator Posted June 13, 2020 Saw a post about them awhile back, someone found a few at Academy. None at the stores by me. A few still available by that link, ordered one to try. It's an interesting concept at the very least and they make good baits. 1 Quote

Super User A-Jay Posted June 13, 2020 Super User Posted June 13, 2020 I've got my eye on these as well. How much to they weigh ? Hoping it's a 1/2 oz bait. 5/8's would be even better. A-Jay 1 Quote
Super User Columbia Craw Posted June 13, 2020 Super User Posted June 13, 2020 Throwing into the wind are we? I want to try them too. Could be good. 1 Quote
JediAmoeba Posted June 13, 2020 Posted June 13, 2020 One of these days I will buy a 6th sense lure...I keep asking my local shop to get in their stuff and they said not many people ask for it... 1 Quote
bigjean663 Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Local academy here in Lake Charles has them. Should be picking up a couple tomorrow. Didn’t know they had them 1 Quote
ImThatGuy Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Ordered 3 also. One of each available color. 6th Sense crush 50 is my favorite crankbait by far. Can't wait to try these. 1 Quote
Jermination Posted June 15, 2020 Author Posted June 15, 2020 They are great fellas, got out for a few hours yesterday afternoon. They are 1/2 oz and sling a mile. Action is really solid, super wide wobble. Seems like the faster you crank it the wider the wobble gets. 2 1 Quote
galyonj Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 I love the concept, and I want all of them. However, I need to swear off plugs for a while if I'm ever gonna learn to fish any other way. Especially with slow finesse-type stuff. It's just too easy for me to get bored and frustrated, and just start firing out cranks and stuff because I can't be still anymore. Ugh. 1 Quote

Ugh. that sounds like a loudon confidence problem lol i went to melton hill for a few hours yesterday afternoon and sadly that lake is worse than loudon. You throw those big TRD's out there yet? 75+ fish days on those, not a whole lot of sitting around getting bored over the last couple of weeks Quote
galyonj Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Just now, Jermination said: that sounds like a loudon confidence problem lol i went to melton hill for a few hours yesterday afternoon and sadly that lake is worse than loudon. You throw those big TRD's out there yet? 75+ fish days on those, not a whole lot of sitting around getting bored over the last couple of weeks Dude, you nailed it. I don't have any confidence in finesse stuff because I've not given myself a chance to develop a feel for it. No big TRDs yet. I've got the little ones (in junebug, new money, and coppertreuse), I've got black trick worms for shakyheading, and I've a small collection of stickbaits from a few makers in a few colors. I think I just don't let myself throw any of it enough to develop a feel for it, and that's lame because I know they work if I give them a chance. It's just too seductive to throw a jig or other heavy bottom contact lure where I can really feel what's happening on the bottom, or a plug or other reaction bait of some sort and just irritate the fish until something strikes to make it go away. But I'm getting us off topic. 1 Quote
