I caught some good ones on that Cut-R in Moon Juice last weekend. In clear water, I think that's my new color.

A 'green' pumpkin...aren't they orange?

My actual favorite color of any bait by any company is not Green Pumpkin, but... Pumpkin Green.  This is a light, translucent pumpkinseed-like color with green flakes.

Not all companies have a good version of this color.  The Yamamoto Pumpkin Green, for instance, is too reddish for my taste.

But Strike King has a good version of Pumpkin Green in the bitsy tube, and used to offer the elaztech 7" Super Finesse Worm in that color (must be discontinued now, though).  Strike King also offers a couple other baits in colors so similar they may as well be the same thing: The Game Hawg comes in Amistad Special, and the Rage Craw comes in Amber black/green.

My home lake is super clear, they eat that Cut-R ned up in moon juice.

I could barely tell you the color of any baits I use - I just look at the bait and buy natural colored stuff.  Greens, Blues, Browns and such

Menace in Moon Juice

Rodent in Backwater Blue or Watermelon red/black

Bull Worm 8" or 10" in Plum Apple or Red Bug

My absolute favorite is Bama Craw. It imitates everything well; crawdads, sunfish, yellow perch to a certain degree... It just really does damage on the smallies here.

If I had to give an honorable mention it would go to Summer Craw. Works well in that muddier water or on overcast days.

Straight green pumpkin baits are not allowed in my boat, they don't work for me.

Menace grub in Summer Craw. After catching 13 bass in a little over an hour, this one became my grandsons favourite.

I don't throw very much Strike King plastic,  but I do like the baby rodent and the dreamshot. Favorite color in both are candy craw.

I've had a lot of luck with the two green/blue colors, moon juice and Okeechobee craw. The blue in moon juice is a little more subtle whereas the blue in the Okeechobee craw has more of a sparkle to it and is a little bolder blue. Based on that I tend to use moon juice in clearer water and Okeechobee craw in dirtier water.

The thing that has impressed me about these green/blue combinations is how versatile I've found them to be, both Strike King and other brands. Few weekends ago, for instance, I was at our inlaws' property with two ponds, one which was pretty muddy and one was very clear. A green/blue worm caught a bunch on both ponds ("Bream" 4" Yum Dinger on the clear pond, and "Nirvana" 6th Sense Divine Shaky worm on the muddy). That is consistent with my experience on other water as well. Green pumpkin/watermelon had always been my most versatile color, but the blue seems to add another level to it.
