Guess I've been spending to much time on the water.

Noticed a 2100 gal pond kit in the Amazon cart and asked the wife about it........it's going in our backyard.....well then.

Very labor intensive, lots of digging, lots of rocks required.

There's pumps, filters, fittings, skimmers and a waterfall.

Yep, I'll be awhile.20200608_111244.thumb.jpg.1d7d5ac838f40cd65a23eb545fd228af.jpg

You could stock it with fish and turn it in to a pay lake.

Cool - I’ve been wanting a pond. Love sitting and watching/feeding the fish. Friend has one and I’m amazed how fast frogs and every once in a while a turtle finds its way in.
My problem is I don’t want to dig the hole and not enough money to pay someone to do it for me

After seeing your trail cam pics, there will be an otter in that pond very soon

My neighbor has/had one of those ponds you can dig a hole, drop in a liner, pump and rocks and make it look pretty. It looks awesome.

Here is what they don't tell you:

Tiny baby rabbit falls in? You will be picking out the dead corpse. Same with mice. Building a ramp did not help.

Geese nests by it? You get attacked if you come near it.

Throwing fish in it? Yeah you just opened up a buffet for every wild bird in the vicinity.

The only time I have ever seen an Eagle in my area is when it was gorging itself on the guy's koi carp. I live in the suburbs....

Bird, I helped a friend put a yard pond in last summer. I did almost all the digging. He helped some, but mostly brought iced tea, and made lunch. Felt like I was digging into the next county! Labor intensive is correct. Also, a good way to keep the shoulder and arm muscles tuned up....
