Dminor9 Posted June 7, 2020 Posted June 7, 2020 I have seen some really ignorant and stupid moves by people in their boats. I agree with you MN Fisher about being swamped. I have recently seen several Kayak fishermen get swamped by people in bass boats, jet skis, wake boarding boats, etc. They have no regard to the safety of others. This is one reason I always wear a PFD when fishing. Be safe and PLEASE be considerate of others! Quote
Super User NYWayfarer Posted June 7, 2020 Super User Posted June 7, 2020 What is the best bait to throw during the time of day I am fishing? I really want to ask when will x-ray vision goggles or implants become available? If I could see under the surface of the water it would be a game changer. Quote
Super User whitwolf Posted June 7, 2020 Super User Posted June 7, 2020 I would like to know why the jig bite in my home lake had all but disappeared in the last two years. Quote

Super User king fisher Posted June 7, 2020 Super User Posted June 7, 2020 Why do I always feel I need to buy more or better equipment, rod, reels, lures, electronics etc? When what I really need is the time, and ability to fish what I have more effectively. 2 Quote
Super User BrianMDTX Posted June 7, 2020 Super User Posted June 7, 2020 What is THE true secret to just enjoying wetting a line and hopefully catching a fish, vs spending beaucoup bucks on rigs and tackle, countless hours fretting over what esoteric color combination or inch length of lure may be THE one and generally ending up frustrated and disheartened because all you caught were 2 lb’ers. Super User Mobasser Posted June 7, 2020 Super User Posted June 7, 2020 Where is that "spot, within a spot" in my lake, that will hold the biggest bass. I've found a couple of good spots, but firmly believe there is one that I havnt found yet. I'm still searching. 1 Quote

Honestly I am new to the bass fishing community. I have lived outta the country for almost 7 years. Before that I lived in North Carolina and all I did was catfish. Needless to say that bass fishing to me at least is a different breed. I have only been bass fishing since February. I have found happiness in not getting all into the rigs and tackle. I own 4 poles now. 3 baitcasters and 1 spinning. Whenever I get caught up in the spending on rigs and tackle I try and let it go. I typically only fish with 1 weightless worm and one weight worm. One baitcaster is for whatever i wanna toss on it like a football jig or spinner. I actually enjoy fishing worms and I do very well with em. Hey if it works it works Just go with my standard 3/0 a green pumpkin worm and a light weight. Sometimes I toss a strike king crawl. Quote
FishinBuck07 Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 Where everyone hides the bass in our lakes around here? Lol Quote

Shimano_1 Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 I would just like to be more efficient with my electronics. I feel like that's the missing link for me....although there are plenty more id like answered lol. I can use my graphs and have caught fish using them but just would like to be more confident in what I'm looking at Quote

Super User NorcalBassin Posted June 8, 2020 Super User Posted June 8, 2020 My question would be similar to OP's... where are the (presumed) DD spots hanging out on my home lake? Six years ago the owner of Powell rods caught the WR spot here, but it's since been beat a number of times by a number of anglers at Bullards Bar. I doubt we have any WR's swimming around here anymore since they halted trout plants a few years ago and kokanee plants have been hit or miss (unlike Bullards Bar), but I'm still dreaming of running into a DD spot. Super User scaleface Posted June 8, 2020 Super User Posted June 8, 2020 Close to where that x is at . I think there is a spot that holds big bass . I havent found it yet but I'll keep looking . I have caught bass there but nothing big and there are plenty of big bass in this lake .Its kind of weird .It looks like a point but its a big flat under water but there are defined channels Quote
Super User N Florida Mike Posted June 8, 2020 Super User Posted June 8, 2020 At this time, my question Id like answered is : What must I do to catch the 9 + fish that I know live in my home lake? I got an 8.1 two years ago and a 7.6 last year that was 26 inches. My son got an 8.2 three years ago. I have very diligently searched all spring for larger fish , and a 4.10 was the biggest, along with several others around 4. You might say someone else caught and kept them. I do 95% of all the fishing on my lake. About the same % of time, Im the only one fishing on any given day. Im about to go into a live bait( bream or shiner ) campaign to solve this question, if I cant do it with artificials. Quote
