OnthePotomac Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 Super Lube is great and also look to use drag grease, either Shimano ACT2, or Cal's. If you have high speed reels, drag grease is the way to go to provide a smooth drive gear functon. 2 Quote
Super User FishTank Posted June 6, 2020 Super User Posted June 6, 2020 Cals and Shimano drag grease work great. I have also used Ardent Reel Butter but have since moved on. 1 Quote
DomQ Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 The Abu Garcia grease is ? IMO. Doesn’t last long. I moved onto super lube because it’s what I use on elevators and have had good experiences with it and so far it works great. It doesn’t wear down as fast as the abu poo poo. Also using shims is drag grease and that stuff is awesome! Quote
redmeansdistortion Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 Yamalube marine grease sticks the best to gears in my experience. Quote
