it's that time again to service my reels, mainly baitcasters, has anyone ever experimented with different lubes, any in particular that stays on the gears. i have some clear grease called super lube, it's a multi purpose PTFE grease. any thoughts.

Super Lube is great and also look to use drag grease, either Shimano ACT2, or Cal's.  If you have high speed reels, drag grease is the way to go to provide a smooth drive gear functon.

The Abu Garcia grease is ? IMO. Doesn’t last long. I moved onto super lube because it’s what I use on elevators and have had good experiences with it and so far it works great. It doesn’t wear down as fast as the abu poo poo. Also using shims is drag grease and that stuff is awesome!
