Jig molds

I'm looking to maybe start pouring my own jigs in a couple I use the most. I'm like for a mold like the siebert sniper/boss finesse flip and also one like the siebert shotcaller/ boss swim jig style...anybody know what I'm looking for exactly? What is closest to this? Thanks for any help

Go to the do it site and compare their molds or maybe get Mike to pour you up a bunch of unpainted heads.

Save yourself the trouble and the money of pouring a jig head that is already mass produced.  Just buy the unpainted heads from Boss.   You can then make them your own by choosing your powder paint, skirt colors, brush guards, eyes and how you tie them.

I actually am considering doing this as a hobby/thing to pass time in winter since I don't ice fish much anymore so it's no trouble to me. I've got the time about 4months of the year. But if I decide against the molds I will continue to use boss and siebert products...that's what I've used for several years now. I'm gonna go to the do it site and see what I find...if it's not to my liking them I'll order bulk from Mike. I'm already making my own skirts and just started hand tying them recently just cuz I like doing it.

Closest mold is a Shawn Collins one but it makes; 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, and 3/4oz and is about $125.

That's kinda what I was afraid of. I looked on do it's site and didn't really find what I was looking for. Also I didn't really want to spend 250 bucks on just a couple molds. Looks like im sticking with mike..which is fine by me as he makes solid stuff. Maybe I'll wait and order a bunch this fall and just spend the winter painting heads, installing weedguards and tying skirts.

I think you are heading in the right direction.  That will give you a chance see if you want to go all the way making jigs.

Agreed, some of us are so far in we can never get out.

The Collins molds are great, but if you're just making jigs for yourself you're going to have to pour so many to offset the cost of the molds that it's not really worth it IMO. If you were selling them it would be a different story but I can tell you from experience that it's a lot of hassle trying to tie and sell jigs.

Yeah I don't have interest is selling them so I definitely don't wanna drop that much coin on a mold

As mentioned go to Do-It Molds and look at the hundreds of shapes available, average mold round $50 for 3 cavities of different sizes.

You will need a Lee lead pot, lead and hooks. Don't over look hook cost, premium hooks can be expensive.

Barlows Tackle catalog is a good resource.
