This looks pretty cool, and I'll be trying it out soon.  A friend in another forum turned me onto this, and it looks much more ideal than the deployment arm I've using for years.  Anyone seen this, or used it?  It's about twice the price of a good arm kit, so it isn't inexpensive.  The magnet seems like it gives you lots of mounting location options that an arm doesn't.

 

They are not a sponsor, and I have no affiliation, other than being VERY interested, and will likely try this out this year.

I am pretty sure someone else had one like it before but can't remember who it was.  They look cool and i hate transducer arms...major consideration was an electronics pod in my last kayak purchase.  

I know i would be nervous at first should it come apart but i am guessing it won't without serious impact.  Any idea if the magnet will cause any type of interference with the transducer?

I'd think that interference would be brought up right off the bat.  The person using it didn't say anything about it.

I've seen guys use them with good results, and you won't see any interference. If my kayak didn't have a sonar pod, I'd go this route. I hate the transducer arms.
