I thought they discontinued the titanium ones. Are you still finding them somewhere? I looked last summer and nobody had them in stock, just stainless ones.

You could be right about that.  I haven't looked for one in a while because years ago I bought a ton of them lol.  A quick search indicates that rapala (who now owns terminator) has discontinued them but if you look hard enough there seem to be some retailers that still have some stock.  I don't know if the discontinuing of them is permanent; it may be a temporary supply chain issue with the titanium.

Tons of good spinnerbaits. Just thinking of the ones I use -- Booyah, Strike King, War Eagle, Stanley, Pepper, Picasso, Nichols; BR sponsor Siebert Outdoors also makes good spinnerbaits with your choice of skirts for a good price.

Absolutely agree you should look for baits with a ball-bearing swivel...blades will turn more easily at slower speeds. And if the skirt is attached by only a rubber collar, reinforce it by tying some wire or braided line in front of the collar, to help keep the skirt from getting pulled off...which will happen after a few fish.

I use a teeny tiny baby zip tie. It works great and fast and easy to install.

I bought 10 Nichols Pulsator spinner baits with holographic Indiana and willow blades in the early 90's and still use them every year. Several hundred bass and they still work perfectly.

If you are fishing that tannic colored water I use to see on the Eastern shore I would suggest at least one bait that has copper blades. The Pickerel will destroy some spinnerbaits but I found the copper blades worked great in the Tannic colored water for some reason.

I notice theres some spinnerbaits where the blades are pretty much right on top of one another and others the one blade is half way down the wire. Any advantages to one or the other?

I had this same question in the bait makers forum .According to Smalljaw , who is a spinnerbait guru,  wider spacing makes the bait more stable for burning , closer gives more vibration .

I have caught lots of nice bass on Booyah spinnerbaits.

Spinnerbaits are hard to screw up as long as they are balanced, fly straight.

Nickel up front or double willow.

An all-time favorite bait of mine for sure.

Have various types......Titanium, KVD, Booyah, strike king and Zman and they all produce.

Spinnerbaits belong in Cooperstown. Lol

For several years my only source of spinnerbaits was "Heavy Cover", where custom orders were made.

On their website, you simply checked the checkboxes: Weight, Blade Style, Blade Color, skirt color ~ ~.

The founder became ill and they are now history. Today, I find myself dealing with only 2 spinner brands:

War Eagle & Booyah (Take it from where it comes, spinners have never been my heartthrob).

Copper blades work great here too.

I have an older single-bladed Terminator, all black with a gold blade, that has been a great producer for me.

My MVP is the lowly Bass Pro Shops double Colorado 3/8 oz in black/red.  They break every 15-20 fish.  But at around $5 each, I don't mind.  I've caught more sizeable bass on this model than any other "moving" lure, by far.

I like a White skirt and copper and or silver blades....I use 1/4 & 3/8 the most, but sometimes will use a heavier one in 1/2-3/4 if I am in the mood to fish slow. I tend to fish spinnerbaits quicker than I probably should, but I like covering water. In Spring, I will use orange and yellow skirt/Red which has always worked best early in year since I was a little kid.

I have never paid attention to brands much, I like the Stanley Wedge little spinnerbaits in 1/4, and the Booyah, Bass Pro Lazer Eye, and I have used the terminator stainless and titanium for years....I believe the blade size, type, line tie angle are most important, but I have never put in the time to truly understand the differences. I just know the basics & pretty much chuck and wind...Run them along weed edges most of the time but had alot more success in NY with spinnerbaits than here in Florida.
