Super User Bird Posted May 31, 2020 Super User Posted May 31, 2020 Not the fish as we all know it's a LM. I'm referring to this little red ball below the fish. It wasn't there when I landed the fish and I wasn't throwing C-rig. It just showed up in the photo. Quote

Super User BrianMDTX Posted May 31, 2020 Super User Posted May 31, 2020 The two bass I caught yesterday (both about 2-3/4 lbs.) both had bleeding tails. I’m sure not from me. I’m guessing something to do with spawning? 1 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted June 1, 2020 Global Moderator Posted June 1, 2020 Appears to have blood coming out of it's gills and running down it's side. Not a lot, but enough to produce a drop like that. 2 Quote

Super User RoLo Posted June 17, 2020 Super User Posted June 17, 2020 In the fins themselves there's no blood. Bleeding from nest-sweeping comes from cuts & abrasions in the 'tail-stalk', and is typically accompanied by a tattered and well-worn tail fin. Blood caused by nest maintenance is usually thin & smeared, rather than full-bodied drops. Roger Quote
KYRANGERMAN Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 I asked Mr. Spock. He said it was red matter. If you're a Star Trek fan you'll get it. Otherwise . . . Quote
