Looking at small boats and really like the Twin Troller. Would like to hear from owners...or if you know someone that owns one.

Never heard of them, but they look really good. I know of private 30 acre lake with no ramp that would be perfect for one.

Yeah... I have been thinking of buying none for a couple years now.  Thing is, I only want it to fish when I am visiting in Arkansas... Not a good option for me in CA.  I am in Arkansas a 2 or so months out of the year and have a couple kayaks there for fishing.

The twin troller would be perfect for some back water and small water action.  Hard to tip and you you can take a person out with you.  I don't know if two people bass fishing is easy... But multi-species and panfishing would be fun.

Im in the process of looking for a small "truck bed" boat myself and looked at the twin troller only briefly. From a bang for your buck perspective it just didnt make sense to me.

Right now my top candidates are

  • Bass Baby Bass hunter
  • Springcreek Prams
  • Duroboat

There was  a Twin Troller up for sale on my local craiglist and the seller was asking almost full retail. Not sure if that necessarily indicates they hold their value but it didnt seem to have lasted long before the posting was gone.

Interesting concept. The 175 lb weight is basic hull and trolling motors. You need to add the battery and seat weight. 36 lb X 2 trolling motors operate on 1 12v group 29 marine deep cycle battery, about 55 lbs. 2 batteries parallel would be a good option if they fit.

$3,300 to 5,600 depending on options like electronics and Honda 2.3.hp OB.

To me this boat is too heavy for a pick up 1 man use, trailer OK.

I think they are pretty cool and had a chance to talk to a guy near me who has one one day when i saw him fishing.  He said he loved it and would buy another one.

I know now they offer the option of joystick steering too which i think is awesome.

Trailer all the way! Besides, I have a 5th wheel hitch and 45gal. diesel tank in the F250 bed.

Never seen an ad for a used one anywhere around. Found a couple on the web but they look to be from years past, or 1000 miles away. I'm sure it would sell very fast.

I'm looking for a 10 ft. boat as my wife or one of the grandkids may go out once in a while.

I have never fished from one, but I go to see one in action a year or so ago.  It seemed very neat and the owner loved it.  I ran into him again when I was landing my yak, he moved his in a truck bed and had a block/fall and a small ramp rigged up to help him load it.

I own a twin troller. I bought it used, like new, condition on eBay. It’s was loaded with a lithium battery and a torqueedo outboard. The price was too good. I did have to drive 1000 miles to get it from Oklahoma to Michigan. I don’t regret it.

i like it because I fish alone often. I had a big boat but it was difficult to trailer alone. Unless you use it very often, it is probably not worth it. For your description I would just get a used bass buggy for less than 500.
If I were to do it over I would probably get a pelican 120 or 13 foot Boston whaler or Carolina skiff.

if you buy twin troller new, you then have to deck it out. A new TT X10 is 5500 plus 1000 for the galvanized trailer. 225 for the two wheel pond launch. Minimally you need a battery about another 2 hundred that is 7000 for a minimal TT X10.

I have a TT and trailer and love it. I got rid of my Seaay180 because it was a pain to handle by myself.  I fish alone these days and go out at least once a week if not more (usually T,

W or Th).  Here in AZ that's all year long.

I have used it in some 10mph winds, but wouldn't want to do it with big rollers coming at me.

Handles well and I launch from a ramp or the shore with the trailer.  I put a Honda  2.3 on the back to get me around larger lakes ( I don't run from spot to spot like the big boys, but i can get around well and the pedals actually let me fish easily in the wind).

I'm 73 years old and haul and push this thing around with no problem and I carry 5 rods with me.

I have a series 31 interstate battery and I run around for about 5-6 hours and my battery meter says 58% when I put it on the trailer.

I'm looking at Kingfisher1950 2020 twin troller if you are thinking about selling your boat I'm thinking about buying one. I own a 36 acre lake with 5 acres of lily pads the water in the pads is real shallow and there are allot of bass in there. It is rather tuff on the electric motor cutting through them. The twin troller looks like it would walk right in with no problem.

I’m looking to move to SW Florida to fish some small lakes and rivers there.  Wondering if the TT with a 2.3 HP outboard is sufficient.  Any TT users in SW Florida.  Thanks in advance.

I’ve owned one for 7 years. It’s a  phenomenal boat. I’m on one lake that’s 279 acres….that’s wayyy too much water unless your picking at shore. My other lake I fish is a hundred acres…perfect. Small rivers and streams great.  Not a boat for waves or weather. Can go about anywhere, stable and fun.

$5,000 for a base model? Even with 2 motors, no way. I'd get a bass Raider or something for 1/5 the price and load it up with a foot controlled trolling motor, heck even two, plus whatever I wanted for way less. But I'm cheap like that.

Great boat, the connect to the foot paddles have become a real pain.  Spend most my time trying to push the connector into foot unit I order to make a good connection and keep motor running.  Any suggestions
