Super User Sam Posted May 29, 2020 Super User Posted May 29, 2020 If you were in Central Park's The Lake, or either of the two Turtle Ponds I would be very concerned that he would shoot at you. Otherwise, I don't see anything you did incorrectly. Now after his verbal reply you could have done some wheelies with your big motor before tooling off and really given him a big ride. 1
Super User NYWayfarer Posted May 29, 2020 Super User Posted May 29, 2020 There is the issue right there. Some people were not raised with ethics. I find common sense to be in short supply as well. 3 hours ago, WRB said: It's public water and some anglers feel they have a right to fish next to you and legally they do, ethically they don't. Use common sense and stay at least a casting distance (150') away. Tom I get asked “Did you catch anything” while bank fishing more times than I can count. The first few times are fine but after awhile it becomes annoying. 1

So you would just go out of your way to make trouble for a person who's minding their own business trying to do some fishing? Why? 1
