For my education why the shallow spool?

The shallow spool, so you don’t need to backing especially those who use super line. The LT 3000C being sold here in US have line capacity about the same as 1000D (deep spool) but same body with 2500 (C = compact body)

I use my reel for LMB, SMB, and medium sized pike which do not make long extended runs. With 15lb braid there is more than enough room on the shallow spool, and it saves money by using less line.
