I think I’m going to pull the trigger on a Stradic ci4 2500 or Stradic FL. What’s a good rod $250 or less that’s going to give me as much sensitivity as my Dobyns Champion. I know a lot of you talk Daiwa reels too. What would you buy between $180-$250. I like the zodias but I believe it’s moderate and I’m not familiar with that tip.

The moderate fast is a little slower action. If it were me in your position, I'd look for a good deal on the 7'1" MF Tatula Elite AGS or the 7' MF Expride A. They're both just slightly above $250 retail, but can be found lower during sales. I don't have the same exact models in all 3, but own a couple AGS and an Expride. Both those series are considerably more sensitive than the Dobyns Champions that I've owned.

7’3 though. Too long. I need something for the shore. My bait caster is 7’3.

The medium Tatula

There's a 7'1" medium Tatula Elite with the ags guides. They run $279 usually, but there's some 20% sales right now that make it around $225.

If you’re going all daiwa, what’s the top spinning reel?

In your price range i own the daiwa tatula lt 3000 size reel. I'm very happy with the reel and wouldn't hesitate to buy another. Also own the 7'1" tatula elite ags rod and it also was really nice until i slammed my van door on it last week.

Any budget, I like the Certate LT. For the $150 range, the Tatula LT is pretty impressive. It's one of the lightest spinning reels on the market.

+1 on the Daiwa spinning reels - best bang for the buck in spinning reels that are rugged , have great feature sets and are work horse reels that last for years !! The Tatula rods are a better value at their price point than are the Shimano rods - I definitely would give the Tatula spinning rod in a M action a try .

I have an original tatula in spinning.   I have the new tatulas in casting.  They are just hard to beat.    Ajay has some of the elites.  He loves em.   I'm going to get one too.   I don't think you can go wrong with any of your choices, being the zodias, daiwa, or the dobyns champ.    I like your pick for spinning reel too.   I wouldn't be afraid to get the comparable daiwa spinning reel either. Either way you go, you are.gonna have one heck of a sweet set up.
