Balshy Fishing Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 I'm bout to put in my order, finally, and I'm rounding it out with some new line. I've used Seaguar InvizX Fluoro, Sufix Elite Mono, Izorline XXX Copolymer Smoke as well as Power Pro Spectra Yellow Braided for my top waters and Power Pro Spectra Braided Moss Green as backing on my other two rods. Would ya'll go with these two again or upgrade to something better? All my rods are spinning, by the way Update Question: I've been using #15 Moss Green as mainline before my leaders on my ML & MF - I've been using a heavier Power Pro Yellow for my top water. Ideally, what # should I pick up? Quote
Super User MN Fisher Posted May 22, 2020 Super User Posted May 22, 2020 I'm a Yo-Zuri Hybrid fan-boy. Have 4# on my UL rig and 10# on my MH/M (12# on a pair of BC rigs as well). With KVD, I've had no issues with it on my spinners...and testing shows that the breaking strength is actually more than the rating. I'm actually considering putting it on more of my rigs. 1 1 Quote

Yo Zuri Hybrid is great. If you told me I could only fish that, Big Game and Power Pro the rest of my life, I wouldn't complain once. Quote

I just spooled some 12# Yo Zuri hybrid on my new baitcaster. Anxious to see how I like (or loathe) it tomorrow. I’ve never used anything other than mono, so I thought this would be a good starting point. I tied a Palomar knot on a 1/0 circle hook and actually found it easier to manipulate the line while tying the knot than I did with mono. That’s a good first impression. Quote
