I only have 2 cranking rods.  And for cranks deeper than 10, I use an old Daiwa Ballistic (the red ones) 7'7 Med, reg.  With a Lews BB1 5:1. 12lb Sniper Floro.

If it was something I had more passion for or was better at, I'd probably have a better set up or one that wasnt 7 years old.  But for all intents and purposes it does a good job.  Absolutely launches the crankbaits.

Well, I am patiently (not really) waiting on my Zodias 7'6 MH glass that I am hoping works for those deep cranks. I tried using my 7 M cranking Curado but I think it isn't really suited for anything over about 12 ft or so. Seems to struggle with a 5XD.

I switch between a Lews BB1 5:1:1 and a Bantam MGL 5:5:1 paired with a Dobyns 805CB graphite , I also just picked up a Stile SS 5:5:1 paired with a Dobyns 804CB  graphite and I am really liking it it for smaller profile Deep Divers.

It's jdm. You have to order it from Japan.

Rick Clunn 7'11" eagle claw h cranking rod - old cheap Browning 5:1 reel - casts the big deep divers a mile and grinds them in -  can't believe how long this old Browning has lasted. I'll replace it with something better if it ever wears out.

Really like the new Berkely dredgers - fish 20+ deep honestly and easily (for a deep crank)

Megabass Launcher/Calcutta Conquest 200 is my setup.  6XD and up feels really nice.

Will throw slightly lighter lures as well.  I really like the mod-fast taper.

There's enough power there for 10xds?

I use a rod that I originally purchased for steelhead fishing.  A Diawa nine foot  medium heavy power, medium fast action.  Combined with a Coastal STW 200 it casts further than any of my other rods.  Very forgiving, when fighting the fish, and doesn't wear me out any more than other rods I have tried for deep cranking.  Most people wouldn't like a rod that long, but I am used to long rods for salmon steelhead fishing, so it doesn't bother me.

Absolutely love it for for DD 22s, Mega Bass Deep Six, Little Jon DD 70s and the Duo 15a, I previously  used a Chronarch 201 E5 , but this is a superior reel compared to the 201E5(which is still an awesome reel), if I am going to throw heaver than 1oz ill go with the BB1(5:1:1) or a Catalina (4:9:1). I highly recommend it. I like to throw 10 or 12 lb Abraz X.

Started fishing this setup for deeper cranking last season. Abu Garcia Revo "Winch" Reel and Abu Veritas "Winch"moderate action rod. Has worked well and I'm satisfied with the results.

I'm pretty much a long time St. Croix and Shimano fan boy, but over the last couple of seasons the Abu Garcia stuff I've purchased I've been more than satisfied with. Especially moderate action slower rods.
