BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted May 18, 2020 BassResource.com Administrator Posted May 18, 2020 Finally there's a video for removing line twist from spinning reels while you're fishing from the shore! I was really surprised to learn there are only a couple of videos on this, and NONE of them show this simple technique! 3 Quote
JediAmoeba Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 Great video. If anyone wants to know how to add twist to their line, come trout fishing with me - I will show you the most epic line twist, knots and tangles you will ever see. You may even learn some new ways to to string together your favorite colorful metaphors. Quote
OnthePotomac Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 As careful as I am in respooling my spinning reels, I still do this in my basement just to be sure after respooling and after a day on the water. Good video Glenn. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted May 18, 2020 Author BassResource.com Administrator Posted May 18, 2020 Ya, it's not like I invented this method. There just isn't any videos out there that show folks how to do it. Strange. 1 Quote
Super User JustJames Posted May 19, 2020 Super User Posted May 19, 2020 Thanks, that would help a lot. I normally just walk the line out about 100’ or so then reel back in with finger-pressure applied on the line. Another way that I always do when on water is when reel the lure back in, I’d let it hang about 3-4’ to spin the twisted out. Quote
