If you make it all the way back through the swamp channel it actually gets deep again in the last pool. Roughly 15 feet if I remember correctly. Quote

I feel like I have unfinished business after getting chased off. I’ll be bringing my heavy pitching rig next time. I think it’s turning into one of my favorite lakes. Best thing is it’s only 20 minutes from lansing but, it seems like people blow right past it to go to sleepy hollow. I don’t know if the size turns people away or what Quote
Mbirdsley Posted June 2, 2020 Author Posted June 2, 2020 Laid off again so I’m heading up north a day early. Supposed to be mid 70’s untill Sunday. Sounds like it has been very cold up there. They may still be spawning on crystal and possibly big platte Quote
Mbirdsley Posted June 21, 2020 Author Posted June 21, 2020 Caught a smallie guarding a bed yesterday on the Saginaw bay. Wasn’t huge maybe 14 inches. Smallies stick out like a sore thumb compared to large mouths. any one notice that the bass seem to be really fighting this year. Seems like the couple years after the warmed up they kinda just get lethargic after being hook. Quote
