This definitely falls in the category of "why didn't someone think of this sooner" or at least "why didn't I find this sooner." For all I know these have been around for years...but I was just strolling through the fishing section at my local Wal-Mart, which for the most part is decimated right now and hardly has anything, and while looking for a black frog (which they were out of, of course) I happened upon the Pad Crasher Jr. This will be absolutely perfect for some of the local ponds I fish a lot that have lots of dinks but no big fish...once summer heats up, on some early mornings/late evenings the dinks are kamikaze about crashing a frog, but the standard size frogs seem to be too big and I end up getting a LOT of short strikes and misses. I'm super excited to give this Pad Crasher Jr. a shot.

I often throw the little pad crusher on lighter tackle, It is a good frog like all the booyah frogs. Sometimes that little frog is what they want, even bigger fish. Big fish will smash the Jr. especially since almost everyone throws the bigger frogs all summer long.

If getting short strikes, sometimes trimming the skirt helps, but its a great little frog for pond fishing or skipping into tight places, You can easily hook smaller fish which helps keep your confidence high & have action. Booyah did a great job with the pricing and design of all their frogs.

The little Pad Crasher has been around for a while. There was a pretty good thread about micro or small frogs that ran for a good while a couple years ago I think that listed several small frog options. I've got a little Aqua Frog Pad Crasher Jr that is all chewed up.

My favorite thing to do with the JR is to cut the leg skirts off.  Yes....OFF.  I toss this little nugget into patchy cover, deep into laydowns, and other area where a regular frog might not make sense but you need the weedlessness of a frog.  It's like a little weedless Spook.

This came about because I found a Jr a couple of years buried in an old tackle box.  The skirt wa dry rotted and just crumbled away.  For some reason, I liked the look of it without a skirt and threw it one day.  Holy smokes did it work!

Lol, I knew they were around and I am a fan of the regular Pad Crashers, but never bought any. A while back I found one at a lake I was fishing and put it in my tackle bag... Well last Thursday I tied it on and caught 2 fish on it, and again this past Saturday. Like some have said I'm pretty sure the fatties will eat it, but I've only caught under 2 pounders. Definitely going to buy some this time. By the way, I was chucking that thing on a Heavy Fast rod with 60 lb braid, and this frog casts a mile.

It's hard to fish a frog around here.  The real frogs tend to go after them.
