Super User jbsoonerfan Posted May 14, 2020 Super User Posted May 14, 2020 I had one on a Tranx that almost made me throw it across the living room. I sent it back because I swear the side plate was messed up. I have had a couple that were a bit difficult, but nothing like that one was. Quote
OnthePotomac Posted May 14, 2020 Posted May 14, 2020 Try just a touch of grease on the open/close slide and in the groove into which it slides. Also check the end of the slide to see if a burr has developed. Mine did that and I removed it with a tiny diamond file. Quote
Gbezefromnapeze Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 (edited) Try loosening the spool tension. Whoops, I see you already tried that, sorry. Edited May 15, 2020 by Gbezefromnapeze Quote
Hulkster Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 back off on the brake dial? I thought when you increase that setting it pushes out the brake drum and thats what causes the sideplate not to go back on. at least that whats the curado 200i was like and I believe its the same design. 1 Quote
