Super User Oregon Native Posted May 13, 2020 Super User Posted May 13, 2020 My son and myself got to fish the second Tuesday niter night...they go from five to nine and I just love em. Lots of talk among friends ...some friendly BS and a evening of camaraderie. And hopefully some luck. We got lucky.....very lucky. Have trusted the little Vexus on it's gas mileage and thought we could squeeze one for small trip...NOT. On the way to way in weigh in ran out of gas....sadness. So...trolling motor down and heading full speed realized this ain't gunna work. But ... running on full power on the electric we put two keeps in the boat...one almost four pounds. This was interesting as son had never netted a fish going quit so quickly down the bank. Having about fifteen minutes left we realized we weren't going to make it so flagged down a father/son team and they took our fish in as they had nothing to speak of and weights have been good. So awesome sportsmanship and friend ship. Long story short we got the "W" for a good start to the year... In the few short years we have fished this tourney and in Tennessee we have been blessed. Love this state and the people.... Tight Lines all...hope didn't make to many type O's. Can tell vision getting compromised....tree's grabbing more lures!!! 8 Quote

Super User Tennessee Boy Posted May 13, 2020 Super User Posted May 13, 2020 Congratulations! My first boat wouldn't run without gas either. It was very annoying at times.? 1 Quote
Way north bass guy Posted May 13, 2020 Posted May 13, 2020 Nothing like a big ole “W” to make you forget about an empty tank, good job fellas. And yes, I’ve been there too ( although not with a tournament win at the same time ?). 1 Quote
Super User Log Catcher Posted May 14, 2020 Super User Posted May 14, 2020 Glad you got the win. Maybe you will get some more wins. I have run out of gas once. Unfortunately my wife was with me. We made it in on the trolling motor.. 1 Quote

Super User Oregon Native Posted May 20, 2020 Author Super User Posted May 20, 2020 Once again over twenty boats showed up....was awesome...lots of good BS. Fish catching was pretty good to...just didn't get the kicker that is needed most times. Son was doing good and then...HIT a wall...was crazy...I kept my bait out of the bush's so that was awesome but had a new reel just go frikin crazy on me. Could not make three cast's and it would over run. This is just out of the blue....looks like some back yard time or in the drawer and put on an old reliable. We caught quit a few...didn't get rained on...boat didn't use all the gas...life is good. Time for new adventure....getting greedy...want another one. 1 Quote
