Sorry to see them go. I stocked up on them when I realized they were being discontinued, but I'll soon run out of them and have to find substitutes. Are the Powerbait Pit Boss' that much worse than the Havoc? I have tons of packs of the Havoc Pit Boss, I haven't had to use the Powerbait version yet. Quote

I haven't used the power bait pit boss yet once my stock pile is done. I'll have to try them. Quote

I've heard a few people now saying they weren't happy with the new Powerbait version. Is it the price? Are they less durable? Quote

I dont know until I try a bag and see a side by side. Quote
OCdockskipper Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 Mister Twister Slither worms. When you google them, the only mention is from a thread on this site. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted May 11, 2020 Global Moderator Posted May 11, 2020 Check your local Wal-Marts. The ones here all have Havoc Pit Bosses laying on the bottom racks, black and blue, junebug, green pumpkin, and green pumpkin/purple. One of these days I'm going to buy a bunch of the junebug and black and blue before they go away forever. The Havoc lineup for sure is missed. Pre-Rapala Wiggle Warts and Chug Bugs Terminator Ball Buster buzzbait 1 Quote

Pre-Rapala Wiggle Warts and Chug Bugs Terminator Ball Buster buzzbait My local Walmart doesnt carry them anymore, unfortunately they have down sized their fishing section. I did see the junebug powerbait pit boss for sale on cabelas for under 2.00 but they are on backorder. 1 Quote
redmeansdistortion Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 While I do know a few are still made, I'd like to see more reels come with a flipping switch as they're outstanding when it comes to jigging musky and walleye. It's so easy to hit the thumb bar to let out more line without having to crank the handle to re-engage the spool. A customer of mine runs a walleye charter on the Detroit River, most reels on his boat have a flipping switch because of how good they are for vertical jigging. Perhaps the manufacturers could change the name to "jiggin' switch". 1 Quote
Super User DitchPanda Posted May 11, 2020 Super User Posted May 11, 2020 I'll agree with the havoc lineup. In particular the pit boss and the small bottom hopper..I don't have a problem with powerbait but I preferred the havoc version. I used to fish black emerald bottom hopper on a finesse Carolina rig in summer and it was a huge confidence thing for me. Could get bit on that when I couldn't even catch an on wacky, senko, shaky or ned. Quote
haggard Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 Doomsday Turtle in green pumpkin gold, by Doomsday Tackle Co. They still have green pumpkin but no longer with the gold flakes. I swear they made a difference on when the sun was out. Quote
Black Hawk Basser Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 I definitely miss the Havoc line. I still have a whole bunch of Grass Pigs and use them often. I really will miss the Grass Pig Jr. They are a great budget-friendly trailer for swim jigs and spinnerbaits. Quote
Big Swimbait Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 The Dangle Berry Rig. The sliding weight on the hook will make a fluke or small swimbait do things you can't duplicate with a rod. 2 Quote
TBAG Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 Yeah, I like the Havoc Pit Boss, and actually didn't know they were discontinued. I'll have to check the local WalMarts to see if I can find some. Quote
Super User Munkin Posted May 12, 2020 Super User Posted May 12, 2020 Berkley Power Bait Mud Critter and 4" Finesse worm that looks like a Slider worm. If anybody has any of these they want to get rid of just let me know. Reading thru the list shows that I am have way too much stuff as I have at least 75% of the lures listed. Allen Quote
Smells like fish Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 I would have liked to tried the Storm Wiggle Warts before Rapala changed them. 1 Quote

CrankFate Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 I was going to say 1.5” Gulp Jigging Grub in White. These were off the market for a while, but according to the Berkeley website—they’re back. These have got me bluegills into the 2lb range. Yes, they aren’t bass, but a pound and a half to two pound bluegill is an awesome fish to see. The bait monkey just commanded me to make an order. 2 Quote

tarpon6 Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 Yum Riverside Croaker Tail. I've caught bass on it, but it excels in saltwater. Had one of my best days ever catching 50 snook with it. I've caught more species of fish on it than any other. LMB, snook, tarpon, redfish, trout, peacock bass to name a few. Loved the glow and electric chicken. I still have a few that I bring out on special occasions. Quote
