Which Discontinued tackle would you love to see back?

I really liked the Shimano Castaic reels with InstaGage, the kind of double-sided  lever that you use for flipping and pitching.  Some of the Shimano Cores also had it.  I've got one left (NIB) and will regret them when and if it breaks.

The crankbait that I have had the best luck with for both numbers and size is the Rogers Big Jim . I had two , lost one in a tree , still use the other .  The small size without rattles .  This lure doesnt have a lot of   action to it but it does hunt . One day I was putting the hurts on a school of bass and they were taking it so deep that I changed to an RC crankbait . The bass didnt take it  deep , mostly just had the rear hook in its mouth , so I  spent less time doing surgery in fishes throats and more time catching them .

I recently bought a CZ 452 from the son of the Hildebrandt Spinner Creator. Older gentlemen, in lates 60's he and his wife moved to Slidell LA from CA few years ago.

I went to buy a rifle at about 9am and didn't leave until after dinner. He has several cases of original, hand tuned by his father, spinnerbaits. Not to mention a bunch of marketing materials around the home.

 

The stories he told about he, his brother and father. About the business, his father and his brother, were captivating. Really, really nice guy.

 

I have made offers to buys all of it or some of it when the time comes, but he has stuff that is framed and in shadow boxes.

 

One of those days where you make friend that you didn't expect to make. We shoot 22LR matches together 5-6 times a year.

I stocked up on them when I realized they were being discontinued, but I'll soon run out of them and have to find substitutes.

Northland Tackles version of the senko - it smelled awesome and had the end of the tail dipped in bright orange. Felt like i didn't have to use scent and I could see a the small 1" inch tail come through the water when the rest of it was watermelon green.

 

Don't feel like spending money on hand poured baits to get the same effect.

I did that with some pit bosses the last few nights. I found about 20 packs total in the colors I used to use on the daily. Snagged them right up.

The lure I would like to see come back is the Hawg Hunter plastic worm.  This worm was a 13" segmented worm with molded in weedless hooks. It became famous after it won a National B.A.S.S. tournament at Rodman Reservoir back in the seventies. The thing was so huge, it sounded like a whip sailing through the air.   You didn't get many bites on it, but the ones you got were memorable.
