I have a little 11' jon that isn't the most stable craft I've been in. It's 44.5" across the top and 31.5" at the bottom. I've seen outrigger systems for canoes before and wondered if the same wouldn't work for my little jon? Anyone ever do it; or see it done? I suppose I run the risk of being called a puss, but whatever. If it makes it so I can stand, and maybe even add a pedestal seat, I can deal with that. It's kind of pricey, so it's only a thought at this time, but I'd like to know what folks thought. Thanks.

I dont know if that exact one would work, but i would think you could rig a simple PVC with floats that woudl be as effective or better and cheaper.

I'm trying to come up with something similar for my 12' semi V.  This cabela's deal has the squeeky wheels moving in my brain with some idea's.

Yeah, it looks to be a good system. If you work something out, I'd love to hear about it.

Hey guys just wondering if you guys have have figured anything out for the outrigger. I have 12-36"Jon boat.pretty hard to keep balance on.im disabled aka my right leg is weak numb spasms.but occasionally I get my neighbor to go with me fishing on a lake nearby. We are both 260 plus.. and we are just fine sitting down. Standing is a challenge.outrigger seems like a great idea. Just want to see so,e experiments if anyone has tried it.

I use something similar to these "Scotty Brand" on a small 10' boat and plastic canoe

Bought removable mounts for them similar to this so they can move from craft to craft

Helped a lot with stability, I feel more comfortable standing in most scenarios when in the 10' boat, and helped a very unstable canoe feel comfortable
