ive had a basstracker for 10 yrs now and fished a lot of tourneys out of it, I’ve maxed the boat out (wang poles, upgraded electric motor, etc)

Looking at the Lund Renegade 1875.  The 2020 model has larger back storage than the 2019. A couple questions.

1. talons on the back do I need a jack plate?

2. Can you fish 2 guys in the front flipping comfortably?

3. ultrex in the front should be paired with what electronics? I’m thinking 10” By console 9 inch by bow I’m a hummingbird guy.

4. How troublesome is white as a color for a bass boat? (Will be flipping skinny water backs of  bushes etc)

5. The 2019 model I’m looking at the stern storage how many Plano 3500 boxes can you fit sideways?

1.  These serve two totally different, and independent purposes.  Suffice it to say, I'd want both.

2.  I've sat in one at a showroom, I don't see why not.  Pitching and flipping would be fine for two.

3.  Ultrex pairs with Humminbird.

4.  White shows all the dirt, but I'd be wiping my boat off after each trip anyway.

5.  No idea, there's a few here that own one, so hopefully they'll see this.

From what I've heard, the Renegade is a sweet rig.

I have the Pro-V Bass

However there's a few BR forum members who run one.

I don’t think you’ll be able to mount poles or talons directly to the transom. It is a modified v hull and the shape/angle of the transom doesn’t look suitable. The good news is that there’s a sandwich bracket that will work. Just make sure you check with Lund to make sure it doesn’t void the hull warranty.

Seeing as their site has video of one with Talons, I’d say they have some means to attach without voiding the warranty.

Should be able to install Talons directly to transom. You'll also need the ethernet hub and cables to connect the graphs and trolling motor.

I would get the sandwich bracket for the tallons. It goes between the motor and transom and uses the existing holes that the motor mounts with. No need to drill extra holes in your boat.

Until Mercury tells you the warranty on the motor is void. Not saying it will happen but it could.

Sounds like whatever work you do not have done at the factory/dealer needs to have approval in writing from manus.

There may be ways around it or things may have changed, but there's plenty of related searches on Google that claim the warranty is void. Best thing to do is probably talk to mercury

Dealer mentioned the sandwich bracket

Yes the name will have to change and merch?

another question for the Renegade owners Storage length???? trimmed down, engine turned etc.

The Pro V and 2075 are unbelievable rigs, I can't believe bass pro don't use them they both can conquer a small island at least.

Thank you for great info to chew on.

What is the total garage storage length of your rig, with motor trimmed down, engine turned ?? do you have to put your boat on an angle in your garage??

If you have a large garage or barn I apologize, I have a traditional small a$$ garage 20ft

'Boat selection' involves a long list of personal likes and dislikes based on personal experience.

Very recently, my wife & I traveled from Florida to mid-Kansas to pickup a leftover Alumacraft.

Why would anyone of sane mind make such a journey? (Sane?)

Among other reasons, it allowed me to sidestep Mercury and strap on a Yamaha engine.

A-Jay has some good videos on how he set his boat up.  Spoiler alert: he's not trying to sell you anything. ;)

  • Thanks 1
