I really want to like them.  I have a big box of them and lots of trailers.  They are one of the least productive baits for me...

believe me they work, do you catch em on a regular swimbait? I think a regular swimbait produces more but I catch bigger ones on a swim jig.

A swim jig is my go to bait, always have at least one tied on...

I like the fact you can cover a lot of water with them quickly much like a spinner bait and for me and lots of others they definitely do produce some big bass...

I have tons of jigs and swimbaits...Jigs and straight swimbaits are the absolute worst baits for me.  I would rather tie on a stick and cast it out.

I feel the same way lol..although I always throw them even if to no avail since I’m determined to make it work. There is however one body of water I go to where they’ll just hammer a swim jig/swimbait

While fairly effective for me, Swim jigs are almost exclusively a post spawn deal for me.

Lots of natural patterns in my swim jig box.

In North Georgia 50% or more of those swim jig combos would be in some form of a shad pattern . *Is that the Baby Menace you are using on the above swim jigs ? ... The paddle tail looks good and appears to be a good fit (what ever brand that is) .

The Michigan Brown Bass I'm feeding these bait to are often gagging up Yellow Perch, crayfish and little pumpkinseed.

So if that's what they want, that's what I give them.

Yes it's the Baby Menace and that paddletail is unfortunately no longer in production.

It's a little Berkley Powerbait deal they stopped making a while a go; I have a couple of bags left.

However, my replacement swim jig boot tail trailer at this size is the Reaction Innovations Little Dipper.

Hope that helps

Awesome AJ - I just bought the RI Little Dipper because I envisioned it would look good on a swim jig , thanks for the reply !

I also got the Little Dipper in a few colors for use as trailers. Berkley Pit Boss and Berkley Chigger Craw are a couple others.

I think the manufactures have answered the question when they placed trailer keepers on the jig.  A trailer compliments the jig, adds action, buoyancy and can modify the profile.
