AustinKrawdad Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 I want to replace my handle on my Tatula 150, does anyone have any suggestions? I am looking for a good handle for the price. I bent mine awhile back and would like to upgrade. Appreciate it! Quote
MountainMan83 Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 What size are you looking for, 90...100mm or smaller? What type of material, aluminum... carbon fiber? If you want the same thing as the stock handle, here you go. https://tackletrap.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=898_660_654&products_id=5136 Quote

And his website is sweet, thank man! Quote
TritonUp Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 Off topic, I know... but I just got a Tatula 150. I am having a problem, when palming the reel after the cast, with my left hand adjusting the magnetic brake knob back a click almost every time I cast due to the location/design of the knob. Do you have this trouble as well? Quote

Do you have this trouble as well? lots of people have this problem. I have experienced it myself tho more of when I set the hook i tend to move it. It used to bother me but the braking system on them is sweet enough I've just learned to deal with it. Only option is to alter how you're holding the reel or get rid of it 1 Quote
TritonUp Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 Nice to know I wasn't the only one. That is exactly what I was thinking this morning... they should have recessed that dial! I may just exchange for another. I did notice that I was able to avoid the issue by changing the grip, but sure enough, I would go right back to palming the way I always have, lol thanks for the comments Quote
suzuki2903 Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 Lews makes handles that fit and have the Winn grips. If you want to get fancy, they have a carbon fiber one too. Tackle warehouse sells them too. Direct fit. https://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/lews-custom-95-mm-aluminum-handle-winn-knob-kit#repChildCatid=6901002 Quote

I have that handle on a couple of my bigger reels and I love it. Quote
AustinKrawdad Posted May 4, 2020 Author Posted May 4, 2020 What do y'all think?? I would get the 100mm Quote
Junger Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 You can get a carbon fiber handle for $30 or so off Amazon that will take Daiwa knobs. I bought a few when they were $15ish. Haven’t seen them that low in a few months though (tariffs maybe). Quote

I'm sure they have em for Diawa too. Quote

Do you have this trouble as well? Simple , change the way you palm the reel. Hawgtech sells longer handles. Quote
liquid_30 Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 So I know this is off topic but I just got a tatula elete and I cannot get the thing to cast without a backlash.. I need some help before I end up sending this thing back to the tackle warehouse Quote
AustinKrawdad Posted May 7, 2020 Author Posted May 7, 2020 start casting with the braking system set on max. Cast and remove the breaks little by little, all the way until you backlash. After you get the backlash out, set the breaks a little higher than where you backlashed at! AND Boom you have the ultimate performance. 10 hours ago, liquid_30 said: So I know this is off topic but I just got a tatula elete and I cannot get the thing to cast without a backlash..
