Hanansong Posted May 2, 2020 Posted May 2, 2020 Hey guys. I am very confused on what I should be throwing in the posts pawn in so cal. I am a rookie and don't have much experience. I usually go salt water fishing. I usually stick around with a drop shot. Btw where I fish is heavily pressured. Any info helps. Hanan Quote
Super User dodgeguy Posted May 2, 2020 Super User Posted May 2, 2020 Females go deep after spawn. They take a while to recover . deep cranks and jigs. Ned rig deep or dropshot. Carolina rig. Quote

Super User WRB Posted May 2, 2020 Super User Posted May 2, 2020 Welcome to SoCal bass fishing. The closest lakes to your location are the San Bernadino mountain lakes Silverwood, Arrowhead and Big Bear. All 3 of those lakes are in pre spawn, Silverwood may be in the spawn /post spawn, if it's open to fishing. To answer your question male bass grading fry with strike a wide varity of lures, the larger females are lathargic until they recover from the spawn. Owner/Cultiva * Zip n Ziggy is a excellent small baby bass, baby bass color, top water walk the dog lure and very easy to cast/retreive. Soft plastics you can't go wrong with the split shot rig using spinning tackle. Roboworm 4 1/2" curl tail worm in baby bass color, size 1/0 Owner #5133 worm hook on 6 lb mono. Tom *Amazon, your BPS doesn't carry it. 1 Quote
