I usually bring a lunch meat sandwich or maybe a sub, water, a small energy drink, and maybe a Coke. Also like fruit such as an apple or orange.

What about you? Anything particularly easy to eat?

Sandwich, fruit-bar, ice tea, ice coffee, dried fruit - all things than I can eat/drink one handed while watching my line during drop-shots, ned, etc. Not into soda except the occasional A&W and detest energy drinks.

If you're going to bring a brew, why not something other than colored water?

I always over pack. Fill the cooler up even when I know I won't use it all during an 8+ hour trip. Usually:

12" Sub (half in the morning and half in the afternoon) or a couple peanut butter and honey sandwiches

Chips

Slim fast

2 quarts of Gatorade

2 cans of Arizona iced tea

1 quart of water

When im hungry I just catch a trout or bluegill, start a fire and cook it. I usually fish in fields and dry places so sometimes fire gets out of control but when im hungry i have to do what i gotta do. ??? LOL

If I know it’s gonna be a full day like in a tournament, I usually bring a few Lunchable’s and plain water.

I'm usually guilty of just stopping at Dunkin Donuts beforehand and then not eating until dinner, but sometimes I'll bring granola bars and stuff.

Usually I eat before and then just water during. If I'm fishing close to home sometimes the lady will bring me some carnitas tacos from the Mexican place in town.

If I'm solo and heading out to the home lake in the morning, I pick up a sandwich at the local mom & pop shop, either turkey or roast beast, with lettuce, onion, tomato, cheese and chipolte mayo on toasted multigrain. Boars Head meats. No pickle or chips please. Half the sammich mysteriously disappears on the way to the ramp but the coffee is still hot in the thermos. The other half sammich is for when I get hungry after fishing for a few hours. For stillwater outings, one and only one beer might be on hand and serves as a reward for landing the first fish. A good amount of ice water in a thermos is always present. If I'm fishing with a buddy, or out of range of the mom & pop shop, nothing beats a simple PB&J.

Depends what time of day or night I’m out there. I rarely fish all day long. If I’m out there for a few hours in the morning, I eat breakfast before I go and then just bring coffee, a granola bar, and water. If I’m going out for the evening bite, I usually just bring a beer or two if the weather looks nice. I don’t intend to travel very far for most of my fishing this season so there’s no need to bring a lot of food or beverages.

Bag of beef jerky and water.

Use to be a couple PB&J's and a couple energy drinks but the diet has changed since all the weight loss.

I do prefer a good stout, ale or IPA most of the time, but for fishing that would be too heavy for me, especially on a hot day.

But then I don't like to drink on the water anyways. To me alcohol and watercraft do not mix.

I usually do quite a bit of walking. So I hit dunkin doughnuts on the way. Then just a bottle of Gatorade in back pocket.
