Use a hairdryer to heat them up and soften the glue, then peel them off.

What type of boat - Aluminum or Glass?  Depending on the decals, and the type of boat, I'd probably use a heat gun but VERY carefully.  Generally you can heat up the decals enough that you can peel them off with a plastic putty knife or even your fingers.  But don't get carried away with the heat gun!!

Using either of the above methods will usually get the plastic part off and use MEK solvent to get the glue off.  You do have to get the plastic off before using anything to get the glue.

Ive taken many decals off of boats and 4 wheelers (aluminum, fiberglass, and plastic). Nothing works better than a normal hair dryer fairly close to the sticker, then peel with fingers / soft rubber putty utensil. Once the main sticker is gone there will still be residue. Go back over it with a product like GOO GONE or one of the other adhesive break-up brands and a soft cloth. On really stubborn areas let some of the goo gone sit for awhile then use your fingernail to scratch it off. When done wash with warm soapy water, I dont like that stuff to stay filmed on there forever. You'll never know it was there!

Being a mechanic i remove stickers ALOT from just about every material you can think of. A Hairdryer or heat gun works the best to get them off than use some Brake Clean on a rag or some Ronsonall Lighter fluid for zippo's to take the stickey parts off works wonders!
