I'm usually fishing in some current so I most often put a carpet tack or little piece of a nail weight in the nose and tail.

Jonas, I’ve always made my own nail weights.  Easy and cheaper. I like roofing nails as they have little ridges on them to help stay in place. Just cut different lengths for different weights.
