Super User Catt Posted April 29, 2020 Super User Posted April 29, 2020 To entertain yourselves other than fishing or visiting Bassresource. I've been watching a series on USS Enterprise (CVN-65), formerly CVA-65. What that ship & crew went through was totally amazing! 2 Quote
Super User MN Fisher Posted April 29, 2020 Super User Posted April 29, 2020 Between taking care of the wife and getting the last of the canoe mods done, I'm re-watching 'The Great Human Race'. 1 Quote

Super User N Florida Mike Posted April 30, 2020 Super User Posted April 30, 2020 Still working but leaving later in the morning and getting home earlier. Below average checks these days but at least I’m still working. Having more time for home projects: • Sealed the leak in the chimney • Cleaned out my camping bin • Stocking up on emergency supplies • Replaced some rotten boards on the dock, and replaced a step on the dock. • Replaced a rotten board to keep crawl space closed off • Regular lawn maintenance • Got the head on my trolling motor securely in place so it would stop coming off • Cleaned out area to put garden in. • More stuff I can’t remember Been doing the grocery shopping too.( watching zombie like people in masks) I spoke to .several people today and nobody even spoke back in the store!! Fear is no reason to be unfriendly. Fried fish with the wife Saturday night, and Watching Longmire episodes with her. But the weirdest is having on- line church. Just isn’t the same. Done by 10 a.m . Plenty of time on my hands... 2 Quote

This craziness has gotten me so antsy that I started seed before I should have, and set out plants equally early. I've got chard up, tomatoes up, eggplant up (that one is really early!) and already transplanted Vinca rosea. It's very rare to snow here in May, but if it does I'm S.O.L. jj 2 Quote
Super User DogBone_384 Posted April 30, 2020 Super User Posted April 30, 2020 Not much is changed for me. My Chief changed our work schedule to 48 hours on, 6 days off to minimize our trips too/from the station. On those 6 days off I help Mom take care of Dad, take care of my household duties, work my side-job, and go fishing once or twice a week. 3 Quote

Currently have Billy Vivona’s book open on the bench, and have been trying to perfect some fancy cross- wraps. Have cut off about $50 worth of thread learning all the things not to do. 1 Quote

Super User Sam Posted April 30, 2020 Super User Posted April 30, 2020 Took five days to reorganize all tackle once again. Mow the field every other weekend. Watch TV, especially LSU football game reruns and hope the Fighting Tigers win again. Watch fishing videos on Facebook and one other source. Will clean out shed when the weather permits. Went to local lake to test a new bait (to me) and its presentation. Watch some murder mysteries on TV. I like the Hallmark Channel for murder and mysteries. Do some work for my clients as they request. And tonight at dinner my wife asked me is this is what retirement is all about? Quote
