Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted April 24, 2020 Global Moderator Posted April 24, 2020 Just released that our Governor extended the stay at home order until 5-15 but lifted certain restrictions including the use of motorized boats. Brown bass here I come! 5 Quote

Yes he can, I’m sure he’s doing a happy dance. That being said the weather looks like crap in his neck of the woods. 1 Quote

FishinBuck07 Posted April 24, 2020 Posted April 24, 2020 That is awesome to hear!! Thought it was completely stupid when I first heard that anyways. Wonder how much Zona pushing had to do with this new decision. Quote
Super User gim Posted April 24, 2020 Super User Posted April 24, 2020 I'm sure it has a lot more to do with recreational boating than fishing boats. They tend to attract larger groups of people who are more interested in socializing rather than singles or doubles who just want to fish. Quote

FishinBuck07 Posted April 24, 2020 Posted April 24, 2020 Him also, just know Zona was very loud with his opinion recently! Quote

It was the walleye guys on the Detroit River and Saginaw Bay that drew the attention. Recreational boating is virtually nonexistent (as you know) until Memorial Weekend. There was a huge protest a week or two ago at the Capitol with anglers, landscapers, and other outdoor businesses voicing their opinions. 1 Quote
nascar2428 Posted April 24, 2020 Posted April 24, 2020 She just lifted something that she never actually banned. Thank goodness!! Quote
Michigander Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 While I am super happy that my Triton is legal again, I was really looking forward to a once in a lifetime kayak adventure on a local powerboating lake that would have been wake free. Oh well, back to fixing my trailer, we're back in the game. Quote

22RangerZ520R Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Yep, can't wait! Glad the ban was lifted, this was going to be the first year in 10+ years I wasn't going to be able to make my annual spring trip to LSC! Looking forward to my 9 solo days of sun up to sun down smallie fishin'! Goal is to break my PB bag of smallies there, 27lb 12oz and/or catch a 7lb+. 1 Quote
