Not sure where to put this , more of a how reliable and safe is buying from eBay sort of question.  I am looking to get a new lews reel and usually get from reputable places like tackle warehouse. I was doing some looking online and browsing eBay! This shows the lews I want , normally priced at 200$ down to 150$ .. is this legit ?? How can you tel it’s not a scam or maybe a fake lews or used ??

To me that looks legit.

I always check the seller and in this case its sportsmans outfitters and they have completed 62,704 transactions and have maintained a 99.8% feedback rating.

It also states that the reel is new.

I would have complete confidence of buying that reel

I have done it a few times and never had an issue.  Whoever you are buying the reel off of should have a buyer's feedback rating, the higher the better.

I have bought from sportsmans outfitter . Didn't have any problems. From my own experience when new reels go on sale on eBay, they are often old inventory. May be a  couple years old, but unused.

MANY reputable retailers have a major presents on EB and often run specials there that are not on their home site.

Looks good from here!

Buy it man! That is a great store to buy from. No scam there and I have bought from them before. There are a few sellers with zero feedback or not much and they drop ship items from retailers with stolen credit cards. This is not one of them. Buy with confidence and also know PayPal is insured.

I buy quite a bunch of stuff from Ebay.

I have had a couple issues but Ebay was quick to intervene

If you click on the feedback score you can see more specific details

You can even see what was said on the negative review

I havent ordered from them in a few years,  but I have been ordering from them for 8 or so years.  I have bought ALL 6 of my lews TPs from them. I have ordered rods and other stuff from them.  They are good to deal with and I havent had any hiccups with shipping.  They routinely keep good prices on Lews and other brands.

Alot of time they have free shipping too!  They used to have those reels for 139.. but I think the MSRP have went up by 10 bucks since 2013 and 2014.

I've purchased a lot of rods/reels from them. Always quick shipping and never had a issue. I would recommend register for a account on their website, you may also get a $10 discount. You will save the tax charges if you buy direct instead of ebay.

Yep, Sportsmans Outfitters is legit.  I just got my Coastal SV from them (through their Ebay store front) a month or 2 ago.  Great price and free, fast shipping.

I've bought about half my reels from ebay. Make sure the seller is legit but other than that it's pretty safe and you cab get some good deals.

They have the same reel for $139 at sportsmansoutfitters.com

It is legit though. I've ordered from them a number of times.

That's who he was asking about

139 is what I paid for mine years ago...I was sure 139 is what I saw last but still 149 isnt bad

How do you like it?  I've been on the fence about getting one for Steelhead but my Fuegos have been doing a great job.

My fishing buddy got one last year, so I've had a chance to fish with it. It seems to have a more benign braking profile than a Tat SV, which is good. I think it's fantastic. He loves it.

I actually haven't even used it yet, unfortunately.  It looks and feels incredible on my Helium 3.  Spooled her up with 20lb fluoro for skipping jigs.  Hopefully I'll take her for a spin next week.
