Jaderose Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 Like most of you, I still have several bags of old school Pit Boss. Absolutely tore it up today hopping them across shallow flats on an Owner Ultrahead Finesse Hook. Haven't actually thrown one in a couple of year but I saw the bag in my satchel and tied it on. Hang on! Love it when a good old bait you ain't thrown in a while lights em up 3 Quote
Hook2Jaw Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 I have never thrown a Pit Boss and I'm currently mad at Berkley. Your avatar is great, though! Certainly glad you gave them a whoppin'. Quote

Russ E Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 The havoc pit boss is my go to bait for pitching into cover. It has caught me a lot of quality fish. You can still buy them pretty cheap at walmart. They are usually piled in a box under the other tackle. I believe there is also a powerbait version of the pit boss, but I have never tried it Quote

The old ones are Havoc, I believe 1 Quote
Black Hawk Basser Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 I love the whole Havoc line, especially the Pit Boss, Grass Pig and Craw Fatty. 1 Quote

All in the Powerbait lineup now unfortunately. They put the Havoc lineup out long enough to get us hooked and then gave it the hook. They still won't give me back my 2 favorite colors of Pit Boss either ? Quote
Dvo509 Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Did they get rid of the papa pit boss? I used that a lot on Tokyo rig and a lot of success last year. Quote

I bought at least 15 packs of Grass Pigs when I found out they were to be disco'd. Quote
BlakeMolone Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 What’s everyone’s opinion of the Powerbait pitboss? I know they are softer but is the action the same? Do they catch fish just as good? It seems like everyone hates when a lure is changed and I love the old pitboss and I’m hoping the Powerbait one is fine Quote
Super User Koz Posted April 22, 2020 Super User Posted April 22, 2020 I love the old Havoc Pit Boss, especially as a trailer on a Chatterbait. I HATE the new Power Bait Pit Boss. In fact, I’ve never had a strike on one. Not one. Quote
