DBL000006 Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 What do you all think of these? https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Mister_Twister_Pocit_Craw_35_9pk/descpage-MTPC.html Quote
Super User Log Catcher Posted April 17, 2020 Super User Posted April 17, 2020 I have never used these but they look like they would be as good as any of them. Quote
Super User Hammer 4 Posted April 17, 2020 Super User Posted April 17, 2020 I only use craws I have confidence in, not to say less expensive baits don't work. Been using Rage Tail craws for a long time, and will continue to use them. Although, in the future I may try others. 2 Quote

Maybe not, but...they catch fish, and good sized fish at that. So to me lower cost, and long lasting isn't always a bargain. At some point, I may try the Mr Twister's. 1 Quote
Bass Junkie Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 That’s essentially a Chigger Craw. Like identical. Depending on the plastic I can’t see it not working, but I stay away from blatant knockoffs. Quote
Ogandrews Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 Chigger craws and paca craws are both not very expensive and sew great baits, same thing with the zoom speed craw. The rage craw is obviously great but a little bit more expensive. In my opinion saving a dollar or two isn’t really worth catching less fish Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted April 18, 2020 Global Moderator Posted April 18, 2020 I've tried the Mister Twisters and was not a fan. YUM Craw Papi and Christe Craws is where it's at for "bargain" craws. I buy the Christie craws in 30 packs I like them so much. I'd do the same with the Craw Papi but they're not offered in them yet that I'm aware of. The 3.75" size is great as a stand alone or jig trailer. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Yum_Craw_Papi/descpage-YCP.html https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Yum_Christie_Craw_35/descpage-YUMCRCW.html 3 Quote

Super User ww2farmer Posted April 18, 2020 Super User Posted April 18, 2020 Christie Craws are tuff to beat in the "bang for the buck" department. Chigger Craws, and Paca Craws are kinda "middle of the road" as far as price, but both are great baits. Rage Craws are expensive on a per bait basis...in no way are they are "bargain" if pinching pennies is your goal. But in the long run....they might be the better buy than the above mentioned 3 because of the clam shell packaging, you get far fewer "dud" baits because of bent and kinked claws. My personal favorite "high action claw" craw bait is the Keitech crazy flapper. Comes perfectly packaged in a clam shell like a rage craw, and I have just caught WAY more fish on them than rage craws. Their dual formula plastic is a neat idea, the body is tuffer for holding a hook a better, and standing up to the rigors of pitching/flipping, but the claws, and appendages are super soft and move at the slowest of speeds. IF I don't lose a claw to a panfish, I have been able to catch fish all day on far fewer Crazy Flappers than rage craws. 1 Quote
Super User Teal Posted April 18, 2020 Super User Posted April 18, 2020 Maybe not cheap, but rage craws flat out catch fish. Is that a bargain? Paca craws work pretty good too and cost less. Quote
Super User scaleface Posted April 18, 2020 Super User Posted April 18, 2020 Soft plastics prices have skyrocketed .Glad I'm not in the market . I still have some Riverside Big Claws , Mister Twister craws , Guido Bugs and others . I'm pretty much out but the Larew Salt Craw is a good one and so were the super inexpensive Renegades from Wal-Mart . 1 Quote
Super User DitchPanda Posted April 18, 2020 Super User Posted April 18, 2020 I used the havoc craw fatty a lot years ago...but I've since moved on to the Christie craw and zoom ultravibe speed craw...both great band for buck...both good alone, on a jig or even as a small topwater...oh great as a swim jig trailer as well Quote
DBL000006 Posted April 18, 2020 Author Posted April 18, 2020 I like the Yum Christie Craw. Strike King makes good plastics, but the plastics don't last. Why spend $3 more for them when the Christie is the same type of bait. Oh, SK isn't a bargain bait. The title says it for a reason.. Stop saying buy strike King for whatever more. You spend $20 on the craws and you're out in obe day. Quote
Hook2Jaw Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 YUM Craw Chunk. The bait moves with little input, I used it on the back of a jig to put 99" of bass in the boat not long ago. That's almost a 20", 4 and a half pound average. I've caught my PB on it on a jig. It's probably my best big fish plastic. Quote
primetime Posted April 19, 2020 Posted April 19, 2020 Yum Christie Craws are 2.99 per pack at Dicks, so easy to find, and they also make some really nice colors. Can't go wrong with Speed craws from Zoom, Critter craw, or Strike King...I still have alot of confidence in the Berkley chigger craws. I do like the Rage craws, and when they are on sale, I buy them cause they do have a different action and texture. Mister Twister makes good baits, no doubt they will work well. You can often find really good bargain bin sales on the website, packs of baits for a buck. Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted April 19, 2020 Super User Posted April 19, 2020 Zoom speed craws and ultra vibe speed craws. 2 Quote

Super User Columbia Craw Posted April 19, 2020 Super User Posted April 19, 2020 My confidence is in the Rage Craw. Sieberts has great prices on them. Quote
plawren53202 Posted April 20, 2020 Posted April 20, 2020 Just look for the Rage Craws on sale. For instance I know BP has had them 25% off the last couple of weeks, which puts them in the low $4s per bag range. 1 Quote
