GoneFishingLTN Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 I've used the search bar and skimmed your websites articles and did not find anything going over how to read a map besides the basics. I understand seasonal patterns, I understand contours but really being able to see oh hey this is a ditch, bar etc is what I'm looking for. As always any advice is apprenticed 1 Quote
Super User WRB Posted April 16, 2020 Super User Posted April 16, 2020 There should be several map studies on this site with detailed breakdown of structure elements specific to the lake being discussed. I am not going to search this site for you. I will be more then supportive in looking over a specific lake map with good elevation countour 1' or 2', 5' evelation isn't detailed enough to answer your questions. Satillite overhead photo of the lake also helps to locate cover elements and shoreline docks. Tom 1 Quote
Hawkeye21 Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 Search for Fish the Moment on YouTube and watch his map study videos. I think he does a really good job of showing how to read lake structure maps. 2 1 Quote

Super User J Francho Posted April 23, 2020 Super User Posted April 23, 2020 I types "map" into the article search, and got a ton of results. Here is a start: https://www.bassresource.com/fishing/Reading_Maps.html Quote
