I've used the search bar and skimmed your websites articles and did not find anything going over how to read a map besides the basics. I understand seasonal patterns, I understand contours but really being able to see oh hey this is a ditch,bar etc is what I'm looking for. As always any advice is apprenticed

There should be several map studies on this site with detailed breakdown of structure elements specific to the lake being discussed.

I am not going to search this site for you. I will be more then supportive in looking over a specific lake map with good elevation countour 1' or 2',  5' evelation isn't detailed enough to answer your questions.

Satillite overhead photo of the lake also helps to locate cover elements and shoreline docks.

Search for Fish the Moment on YouTube and watch his map study videos.  I think he does a really good job of showing how to read lake structure maps.

@WRB has helped everyone I’ve ever seen on this forum break down a map if you give him a picture
