Does anyone have experience using the following rods: 5’9” extra-fast Avid or 5’10” extra-fast LTB? Both are spinning rods. The specs for both rods will work for the lures I will throw. The Avid is SC III graphite and the LTB is SC IV. I expect to purchase one or the other soon. But first I wanted to see if there were helpful comparisons. Thanks.

I have the 5’10 LTB,I love it.

Hung a Daiwa BG 2000 on it and it’s incredibly balanced.

Not tip heavy like many claim the LTB’s are.

I bought it to use from my kayak for Smallies.

It throws any lure in its range with ease and I highly recommend it.

Tight Lines.

I’ve used both although nothing that short. Aside from the different handles, unlike I’m sure many here, I doubt I could tell much difference. If I handled them side by side, I might notice that they aren’t the same. For me, unless you really like the handles on the LTB, the differences are small enough that I couldn’t justify the difference in price. No matter what rods I use, I don’t have the sensitivity to feel differences in the better rods. You may be a lot more sensitive than me.
