NEBassMan Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 you bet it is! main stay in many anglers tackle boxes. Jason Quote
the ohh face Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 I concur, and I usually have the most luck with it when twitched very patiently near some cover. Have caught many a bass on that and the tiny torpedo. Quote
bassbob08 Posted July 8, 2007 Author Posted July 8, 2007 Thank you I paid 3.00 for it was that to much? Quote
the ohh face Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 uhh, as long as the hooks are still sharp thats an ok price. They go for, I think, twice that in the store. I dont think you can replace the hooks on those lures though. So if the hooks are dull its a bad deal. You can always sharpen them but its never quite the same IMO. Quote
bassbob08 Posted July 8, 2007 Author Posted July 8, 2007 it looks brand new, hooks are very sharp. Quote
bassbob08 Posted July 13, 2007 Author Posted July 13, 2007 used it the other day and did well on it cought several however nothing more than 1.5 lbs.will keep it. Quote
the ohh face Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 Nice. Thats usually about the size I catch on that lure. Occasionally it will entice a bigun though. Quote
BrockSamson Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 used it the other day and did well on it cought several however nothing more than 1.5 lbs.will keep it. The excitement of top water action should make up for the lack of size. When you do eventually get a biggun' and on top water ;D Quote
Guest ncbass24 Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 I've caught some of my biggest bluegill on a baby torpedo while fishing for bass. The torpedo is excellent for large amounts of bass when the conditions are right. Quote
justfishin Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Great river smallie bait, especially in the last hour before dark. I have caught a lot of fish on the Torpedoes. Quote
