I have set up 12 rods and reels.

I have reorganized my tackle three times.

I have sent notice to my bank that I want in on the free government money and am waiting for their email.

I have watched LSU clobber Georgia, Oklahoma and Clempson on the way to the college football national championship. And of course, I was worried that the Fighting Tigers may have gone down in the replays but they won each game.

Conducted work from my home office.

And have been bored out of my mind.

A lot of yard work, a lot of Netflix, a lot of video chat with family.   A fair amount of fishing from my kayak.

Working around the house and yard, loading ammo (but ranges are closed ?), fishing (lakes and ramps are open ?).

I Still go to work, still fish, still doing projects around the house.

The main differences for me are:

No parks open in my home county, which means I can’t hang out there or fish in the ponds there between work stops . No restaurants, and no church ( we are having it on line through zoom) Easter will be strange without a doubt.

This thing is all about perspective...I’ll leave it at that.

House work

Yard work

Still working on canoe mods - maybe be done by bass opener, not that it matters much right now

Reading with wife - we read the same book then talk about it

Trying my hand at some writing of my own

After 4 re-orgs, I'm done with the tackle bags...but if the canoe situation (long story) doesn't improve by opener, I'll have to re-org from a 5-box 3700 bag and a 7-box 3600 bag into a smaller amount just in the 3600 bag cause I'll be shore fishing.

Hey BR,

What have you guys been doing during this Quarantine?

(These number ain't looking good ?)

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

Considering the ease of transmission of COVID-19 and the fact that people without symptoms can transmit it I'd say those numbers are pretty good (although personally I don't believe China's numbers). Consider that in the 2018-19 flu season the US alone had 34,000 deaths and in the 2019-20 flu season we have had 24,000 flu deaths.

We're not out of the woods yet but the estimates today for the US were around 40K deaths from COVID-19. Anyway, I'm not a doctor or a scientist and I can't predict the future. This entire situation stinks but I thought I'd share some additional data to give some additional perspective.

As for your question I've cleaned my house, washed my car, looked for a new job, cleaned my parents house and did their shopping and errands, binge watched some TV, played Civilization V and Roller Coaster Tycoon on the PC, and did a lot of bank fishing when visiting my parents. Tomorrow my son and I are trying some bank fishing at Lake Edwin Johnson since it's one of the few lakes in the state that are open for bank fishing only.

Between my son's injuries, illness, and lately laziness he hasn't been able to have any baseball workouts lately. The local baseball academy where he works out is closed and so are all of the baseball fields. But today I pushed him to do some agility work, J-Bands work, and throw a BP session into a net in our driveway. As luck would have it, the driveway is sloped like a pitcher's mound.

Hate to admit it but I’ve been fishing much more than I use to. Staying away from others of course but I’ve had some banner days so far this year on saltwater striper, local trout streams and hoping to add more to my local lake bass pickings.

I work for myself creating constructions drawings and my workload has decreased tremendously but I’m making lemonade out of lemons right now feeling fortunate that my wife and I have means to get through this.

I do believe we had the virus in my home in late January.  None of the 4 of us were hospitalized but the symptoms and time it took to get over it can’t be denied. Obviously there is no way to prove it until the antibodies tests become accessible but we are all still doing our part but there is an underlying relief, possibly false, that we are in the clear.

I work in an "essential" industry so I have been continuing to work my normal work schedule. My days off have consisted of occasional fishing when the weather permits, and day drinking when the weather doesn't permit fishing.

Past 3 weeks has been - Wake up, covfefe, office work at home, load kayak, fish, sleep. Will be following this pattern for the foreseeable future.

Hanging out at home. I finally got on the lake yesterday for a few hours. Nice day and smooth water. No fish, the water is 46 degrees, but that's okay. Catching them is great and the goal, but just trying is lotsafun. The boat is tied up in my front  yard which opens to my lake. Yup, my lake. I've always called it that. Been here all my life.

Other than that, what many of you are doing. Checking the news, cooking a bit, eating a big bit, other odds and ends. In Maine many live like this as a way of life so besides being careful it's not a whole lot different. Just like during big recessions. We see the painful talk from around the country and we wonder... what's different?

Take a look at this....

Mandatory working remote.  Since the gym I frequent is closed, I've been jogging regularly instead.  I clean the house frequently.  I take the dog for a walk every day, sometimes twice a day.  A little bit of yard work.  Slowly prepping my rods/reels and organizing my tackle.  I am going turkey hunting later next week as that is permitted as outdoor recreation as long as I avoid other people.  Can't get sick when sitting in a blind out in the field by myself!

Still working, and besides traveling less and not seeing friends/familly or going to the gym my life hasn't changed a whole lot tbh. Still fishing on the weekends for now.

Been sober since 1955 (which is when I was born). Grew up with it in the house. I learned early on it wasn't for me. I've never had any.

Glad for you.....

Next time just replace the hubs! It cost me like $10 extra dollars and saved hours. Although most are probably faster than me
