DADto4 Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 This is a jon boat I once owned, gave to a friend, then came back for a second chance. Although she is very rough (sat outside for 5+years), I have made a promise to make her over into a small water fishin machine!!!LOL Like always the road to recovery is a long one, so wish me luck. When I'm done I'll post pics of the "process" Quote

James Heddon Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 A sheet and a half of plywood, some indoor/outdoor carpeting, two pedistal seats, and a trolling motor with a battery is all she needs. SWEET!!! Quote
DADto4 Posted January 31, 2009 Author Posted January 31, 2009 Raul, that is a nice rig. My plans are simple: Decking for the front and sides with gray carpet Mettalic silver paint to match my truck Tiller style trolling motor (still to buy) One pedestal seat(still to buy) 5 horse motor At some point I would like to buy a trailer for it. I am still in the paint prep stage,I will post some pics later . -John Quote
memo43 Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Looks like a good start to me. Have fun, don't give up an imagine what the end result will be. A BASS fishing machine. memo Quote
tennwalkinghorse Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Good Luck and have fun doing it try to think out of the box. It is easier to wire it now then after you frame it out and deck it. Quote
Strike King Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 From what you have to this: d**n! thats cool !! what type of boat is that? Quote
Super User Raul Posted February 2, 2009 Super User Posted February 2, 2009 From what you have to this: d**n! thats cool !! what type of boat is that? Carbon fiber seagull wing bottom hull, reason why it comes equipped with a 15 HP even though it 's only 12 ft. But you can do that with a 12 ft jonboat with a 10 HP. Quote
ImaRapalabeliever Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Hey dadto4 I have a boat similar to that but mines 14' and the bench in the middle is actually a huge livewell, when you post pics will you put some detailed ones of how you deck it? I want to deck the front of mine but not sure how to get started. Thanks Quote
