I went out the other day for some shore fishing. Bass hasn't opened yet (May 9), so it was just for some panfish. We're allowed to go fishing, hunting, hiking, etc. so long as we maintain distance from our 'neighbors'.

I went last monday to a small Conservation Dept lake . I expect it to close  any day now. If that happens , I'll get some night crawlers and visit  a swollen river . Thats a lot of fun too . Make a fire , drink some beer and catch some hard fighting trash fish . Might even set up camp .

SC closed all state parks and public waterways, but you can still fish ponds and lagoons if they are available in your area. Unfortunately, those are all private here and every one I have drove by has no trespassing and no fishing signs posted.

It hasn’t affected my fishing any. I Actually haven’t been in a couple weeks, except for a couple of ponds in between work stops. One benefit of this thing is that a lot of businesses are closed - and there are some ponds behind some of them. Of course, I would rather it get back to normal ( whatever that is).

Im blessed to have a lake out back that I can fish and socially isolate or whatever they call it. Its very doubtful it will be closed. I do 95% of all the fishing on it and usually have the lake to myself.

I have fished at least once a week since jan 1. So far everything is still open to fishing.

The covid 19  cases keep mounting daily in the KC area.

People seem to be congregating at the Walmart and Sams club stores.

I have been avoiding them as much as possible.

Waiting to see what the next step of shelter in place will be.

 hopefully fishing remains open.

Gone 5 times this week alone and plan on going to a new-to-me lake in Missouri in the morning to try for some crappie.

Check with your local DNR/State regs and figure out what's open and what's closed. The reality of it is only so much can be controlled and only so much can be enforced. Push the limits, don't break the law.

Exactly, don't be stupid and don't make it so shutting down the lakes becomes something that needs to happen.

There's a couple lakes that are closed here and I wouldn't be surprised if a couple more closed as well, but I think that a majority will stay open. There isn't any way to enforce a full scale lockdown in most areas with many bodies of water and being out in a boat fishing by yourself or with 1 other person is way lower risk than a lot of other activities.

I’ve actually fished everyday for 3 weeks. Yeah, all 7 of’em.
Job shut down. Love the wife but don’t want to commit murder so I fish.

We can still fish, but that will come to end because most people are treating this like a vacation. The Town blocked the road to one place. They did the trout stocking there and it was a nice weekday and there were over 100 people elbow to elbow at the stock point. Unbelievable, unfortunately the general public isn’t very bright as a whole. Where gonna end up on lockdown soon if they don’t smarten up. I don’t think they should announce the stocking time’s online right now.

Went out yesterday to a conservation dept. lake.  Temps were in the high 30's and it was raining.  Needless to say there were not a lot of people around.

Going out today for the first time. It's not so much the virus that's stopped me but the weather. I'm still working so I can only fish the weekend and that's when we get the lousy weather.

Rain came through yesterday so it's "cold front" conditions and the river probably isn't in the best shape but the weather report for next weekend looks even worse...so I'm going fishing.

Since my boat stays on a slip, it goes in Tuesday for at least 8 weeks.
