Wired Wrong Posted April 6, 2020 Author Posted April 6, 2020 I called Shimano last week and the guy I spoke with said to send them in to be checked, but it was a 4-6 weeks turnaround. Trying to find a fix that I can do. Quote
Wired Wrong Posted April 7, 2020 Author Posted April 7, 2020 i removed the line and lubed where I could reach without complete disassembly. Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted April 7, 2020 Super User Posted April 7, 2020 Does it make any noise when you are reeling it under normal fishing conditions or just when reeling at Mach I? Still not sure what I am supposed to be hearing. I originally thought line, now I think it's in the handle simply from the violent nature of the reeling motion. Quote
Wired Wrong Posted April 10, 2020 Author Posted April 10, 2020 Yes it sounds like something is scrubbing.Fast or slow reel. Quote

On the latest video it just sounds like the normal clacking from in/out shaft play when your drag is tightened down and youre reeling in fast without a load. 1 Quote
KP Duty Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 My reel sounded similar last week (13 concept z). I was fishing mucky water that had a film on top. Gummed up my worm gear. It would behoove you to keep a can of electric motor cleaner around for a quick clean and lube of the worm gear or any part without disassembly 1 Quote
