Going to a Lake Monday that's been producing several 8-10lb class LM, assuming ramp is open ?.

I want to throw Magnum flukes in the stump fields just to see, got other plans to.

Any luck with them?

Work them similar to regulars?

And got an extra frog rod 7.2 HF, should suffice?

Thanks

Briery creek or Sandy?  :)

And yes, they do work and trigger some big and small fish.  Fish them the same way you would the smaller version but you will need some stout tackle and heavier line as they are pretty heavy baits, especially with the hook size you need to get through all that plastic.

I fish the Magnum Fluke with a Gamakatsu Weighted Monster EWG Hook 1/4 oz 7/0. They're much more buoyant than a Super Fluke.

The magnum SK Caffeine Shad has great action too, just like the regular size. I run it with an unweighted 6/0 superline or an Owner Beast 1/4oz 6/0. 3/4 oz with the unweighted hook. Casts great.

The Lunker Hunt 7inch Fin-s Fish in Ice Shad was a killer for me last year for big bass and pike. I recommend using a heavy leader like 50lb if there is pike in your lake. I rig it on a 7/0 Berkley Fusion 19 Swimbait Hook Weightless. I would also recommend a stinger hook if they are swiping at it.
