As an avid sports fan I'm finding it hard to go without for this long.

I follow many and NO march madness, NO spring training.

Was really anticipating a LAKERS vs CLIPPERS best of 7.

I understand the technicalities, just say'n.

Yes . I had all inclusive tickets to two Cardinal baseball games . UMB club tickets . Those are the good ones with a large buffet and full bar .

I really started getting into college softball last year. I'm a Buckeye, but watch the whole big ten.

I also miss listening to major league baseball on AM radio in my shop. It brings me back.

I miss March madness the most. It's arguably my favorite thing all year. The brackets and Cinderella. All of it. I'm also a youth baseball coach and I'm missing that too. Hoping things get back to normal in time for football.

As an optimist, NFL will be on schedule.

Be fun to see what the PATS do without Brady and what the BUCS do with him.

I get to see LSU defeat Clepsom on the SEC network, like tonight at 7 PM with another game rerun. I hope the Fighting Tigers win again.

I miss college baseball.

I was looking forward to see how far a number of college basketball teams would go in the NCAA tournament.

The NFL college draft is always fun to watch to see who is going where and I hope they will still have it on TV.

However, with that said, we get the Outdoor Channel and I watch the fishing shows on TV.

And would you believe this has lead to me and my wife having conversations?????

Been a 'sports fan' my entire life.

And while there have league strikes & what not over the years, it never included every sport at the same time.

Something was eventually come up.

Now, not so much.

Besides not having a team to root for, when I'm not wearing fishing garb, I'm eternally adorned is whatever

New England / Boston sports team is making it happen.

So my wardrobe choice each day has been tough !

No Doubt recent history has been exceptional.

But I'm old enough to have been rooting for some Very Bad teams as well.

The Boston Patriots were always Brutally bad and the Boston Red Sox seemed to break my heart at some point every summer for SEVERAL Years in a row !  Both my Dad & His Dad never saw the team win a WS - Decades.

My son is TOTALLY spoiled !

He's about to get a little reality check though.

I'm a little ashamed to say, I actually might enjoy that . . . . just a little.

Remember those Patriots back then and they almost beat the undefeated Dolphins, 72 ???

Have a great deal of respect for greatness that was fortunate enough to witness many that Boston fans adored.

From Bird, Yaz, big Papi, quite the list.

I live about 5 min from where he grew up, know quite a few of his relatives. One of his nephews owns and runs the local sports shop, my wife worked with him several years ago and I’m in there often to get my skates sharpened, looks just like Bobby.

I feel very fortunate to have enjoyed a little Spring Training baseball this year. Sports has always pulled us together as a nation, providing a needed distraction during tough times until we pushed through to the other side. I guess it’s gonna be taped games of seasons past, the various upcoming drafts and free agent signings until what is the new normal is figured out.

March is generally one of the better sports months of the year.  A big void this time.

Parry Sound, Ontario!

Fun fact: Did you know that his MA license plate is simply the number 4?

At least that’s what it used to be. I used to see him in Palmetto Dunes on Hilton Head Island way back when.

As for games, I miss baseball. I gave up coaching a few years ago, but still enjoy working out with my son. But now all of the local fields are closed. The local baseball academy where my son works out had been open, but we stopped going there once the virus warnings went out. Today the Governor of S.C. ordered non essential businesses closed so that won’t be an option any more. All state parks are closed as well.

Some great classic games being aired by NBCSN - last week was hockey, this week us NFL. Theyve been a fun replacement. I had to explain why Cam Newton wasnt on the Panthers (2006 game) and who Steve Smith and Terrel Owens were to my 9 yr old. Also funny seeing how long Jaromir Jagr played.

Well if anything, the suspension of play possibly takes the heat off the Astros. Not to mention further delays the Commissioners report on the Red Sox cheating investigation.

Granted, we’ve all got bigger fish to fry at this point.

And on another note, I just wanted to say to BR members who deal with a yearly hard water season my hats off to you guys.

As a “former” avid fan, I hate to say this: I’m passed the withdrawal stage — I don’t miss it all.

There are a lot of things I haven’t missed this last month. Weird.

Green, if this happens then LSU will be the 2021 National Champs!

But...although Herbstreit is very knowledgeable, I foresee the virus being taken down with vaccines and other treatments and we will have college and pro football.

In fact, I believe the quarantine will be over in May at the latest and we can go back to normal with our lives.

Geaux Tigers!

When I read this quote I thought “sounds like Greg schiano, MRSA, and the Tampa bay buccaneers”

My local sports network is rerunning Red Sox & Bruins games ... I have four tickets to the Sox in May.  Hopefully they'll play, or I'll get a refund.
