Super User Oregon Native Posted March 30, 2020 Super User Posted March 30, 2020 Would have posted under fishing but only had a bite. Was a very windy day and a million boats out yesterday....so many rusty operations at the ramp to say it in a nice way. OMG....was nice to be with son...so awesome...but no wiggles. Body still works...can still see....but shakey. Doc starts tomorrow for another new adventure. OMG what the Docs are all going through...among the many. the many. 11 Quote
VolFan Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Good to see you still kicking around! Yesterday was definitely amateur hour on the lakes around me too - and the wind made it even worse! 1 Quote

Super User Log Catcher Posted March 31, 2020 Super User Posted March 31, 2020 Glad you were able to get out again. I got out last week for the first time since my knee replacement surgeries. I caught one small one. It was the same way with everybody being on the lake. I had a rough time just finding a ramp where we could get a parking space after we put in. Hope you get many more fishing trips. 1 Quote

Super User Sam Posted April 2, 2020 Super User Posted April 2, 2020 Great report. Just being on the water is a gift. My friend went to the Mattaponi river in Virginia last Saturday and the Walkerton ramp was a zoo. He had to park in the lot across the road and launch from that ramp. He knew how to get into a creek and he said he did very well catching over 20 bass. I know the creek he went into and I love it, too. You just have to know how to get in and out or you will be stuck on a sandbar at the mouth of the creek. He told me that there were way too many boats in the river to enjoy yourself so he went home. What is disturbing is that I like to fish the Mattaponi river on weekdays when I have the river to myself. Looks like this will not be happening until the quarantine is lifted and everyone has to go back to work. 1 Quote
